Multimedia system and method for remote monitoring or refereeing in amusement machines

A remote monitoring system or arbitration for dart machines (1) comprising a dart machine (1) having play components, such as darts (14) and targets (4); means to capture multimedia information related to the conduct of play and data on the performance of players using the dart machines; and means for transmitting the multimedia information and the data captured from the machines to a network (17, 17 '), characterized in that the system further comprises at least one refereeing center (2) to obtain the multimedia information and data in the the arbitration center is located in the network and enables refereeing, almost instantaneously or with a delay, the conduct of play or performance of players using the dart machine, and in that the dart machine (1) also comprises means for creating a game boundary which marks the minimum distance of the position of the player (13); and at least one imaging device (7) that captures an image of the particular player and game boundary and image recognition system that detects if the conditions related to the particular player and game boundary are satisfied.
