Synergistic insecticidal mixtures

Compositions (A) containing synergistic amounts of thiodicarb (I) and at least one chloronicotinoyl compound (II) are new. An independent claim is included for the preparation of pesticidal compositions, by blending the synergistic mixture of (I) and (II) with extenders and/or surfactants. ACTIVITY : Insecticide; Acaricide; Nematocide; Parasiticide; Antifouling. In tests against Phaedon cochleariae larvae on cabbage leaves, the degree of mortality after 6 days was 15% using (I) at 100 ppm, 0% using thiacloprid (IIa) at 4 ppm and 65% (compared with a predicted value of 15%) using a combination of (I) at 100 ppm and (IIa) at 4 ppm.
