Electronic message forwarding
Abstract
Problem to be solved. To provide a process and a system for transferring an electronic message addressed to a telephone number in a computer environment. The present invention provides a method of transmitting an electronic message in a computer environment. A preferred embodiment receives an electronic message addressed to a telephone number and determines an instant message identifier associated with that telephone number. In response to the determination that the instant message identifier is associated with the phone number, the instant message receiver determines whether the message addressed to the instant message identifier can be received. In response to the determination that the instant message receiver is capable of receiving the instant message addressed to its instant message identifier, the electronic message is forwarded as an instant message addressed to its instant message identifier. In response to the determination that the instant message receiver can receive the instant message addressed to its instant message identifier, the electronic message is that the instant message receiver sends the instant message addressed to its instant message identifier. Depending on the decision that it is not available, it will be sent to the mobile device with that address. [Selection diagram] Fig. 2

The present invention relates to an e-mail system in a computer environment. More specifically, the present invention relates to the delivery of an electronic message addressed to a telephone number.
In the information age, we brought various communication tools into our daily lives. In addition to traditional telephone and facsimile services, wireless communication systems and e-mail systems are popular ways to offer the conveniences and benefits that traditional communication devices do not offer. For example, a wireless communication system enables a mobile phone user to be contacted by the user's mobile phone anywhere in the geographical area where the wireless telephone service is offered. The e-mail system allows a user to access an electronic message received from the Internet through a computer terminal on which he has accessed the Internet.
Much effort has been made to enable electronic message delivery and communication across different communication systems, for example, between wireless and e-mail systems over the Internet, or between e-mail systems and facsimile services. Has been done to. Unified messaging systems attempt to provide three typical message types: universal message sending and delivery systems that allow interoperability between voice mail, facsimile messages, and electronic messaging. A unified messaging system allows users to retrieve all three types of messages through a single access point. For example, a user can access all three types of messages on a computer terminal via an electronic messaging system or via a telephone number and telephone system.
SMS (Short Message) Services) is a type of email system that allows mobile phone users to send a short text message addressed to a phone number from one mobile phone for reception on another mobile phone. .. In addition, the user can send an SMS message to a mobile phone with a phone number via a wireless service provider's website using a web browser. Users can also use instant messaging software, such as AOL Instant Messenger, to send SMS messages to a mobile phone with a phone number. Recipients can also reply from their mobile device using various mechanisms, such as using a special short code that routes the message to a screen name on an instant messaging service such as AOL Instant Messenger. .. An SMS message addressed to a phone number typically forwards the SMS message to the cell phone with that phone number when the cell phone is available to communicate with the Central Short Message Center. Stored in the short message center.
Instant Message Service (IMS) is a real-time communication process that allows users to exchange instant messages over a communication network through a user interface. Instant messages are typically exchanged when the communication channel between the source and destination device is set up for real-time communication.
However, interoperability between SMS and IMS has not yet been achieved. Providing an electronic message delivery system that connects the worlds of both SMS and IMS would be advantageous.

The present invention is embodied in an electronic message transfer system in a computer environment. The present invention provides a method and device for forwarding an electronic message addressed to a telephone number as an instant message to an instant message identifier associated with the corresponding telephone number.
In one embodiment of the invention, after an electronic message addressed to a telephone number has been received for forwarding, the instant message identifier associated with that telephone number is determined. Next, it is determined whether the instant message receiver can receive the message addressed to the instant message identifier. The electronic message is forwarded as an instant message addressed to the instant message identifier in response to the determination that the instant message receiver can receive the instant message addressed to the instant message identifier. That identification of that phone number in that message is retained for any subsequent response. The electronic message is forwarded to the mobile device with that phone number in response to the determination that the instant message receiver is not able to receive the instant message addressed to the instant message identifier.
In one embodiment, the electronic message is a telephone number when the electronic message is forwarded as an instant message addressed to an instant message identifier, eg, according to the user's preference stored in the database and associated with the telephone number. Not transferred to your mobile device.
Instead, the electronic message is a user associated with a phone number stored in a database, for example, regardless of whether there is an instant message receiver that can receive the instant message addressed to the instant message identifier. The phone number can be transferred to the mobile device according to the preference of.
In one embodiment, the electronic message is, for example, an instance message identifier, or a telephone stored in a database, regardless of whether there is an instant message receiver capable of receiving the instant message addressed to the instant message identifier. It is forwarded as an instant message according to the user's preference associated with the number.
FIG. 1A is a block diagram showing a system that follows prior art and forwards SMS messages to the intended recipient's communication device. Then referring to Figure 1A, the SMS message sender sends an SMS text message to mobile phone 102 using the recipient's mobile phone 106 with the destination SMS message address associated with the recipient's mobile phone number 106. Instruct to send to. The SMS message is received by the SMS server 104. The SMS server 104 further transmits the SMS message to the recipient's mobile phone 106 according to the telephone number specified as the destination address of the SMS message. The recipient receives the SMS message on mobile phone 106.
FIG. 1B is a block diagram showing a method of forwarding an SMS message to an intended recipient according to the prior art. Then, referring to Figure 1B, the SMS message originator specifies the phone number to which the SMS message is addressed (112). A mobile phone that sends an SMS message sends an SMS message to an SMS server (114). The SMS server stores the SMS message (116) and, when the mobile phone is in communication with the SMS server, forwards the SMS message according to the destination mobile phone number of the SMS message (118).
FIG. 2 is a block diagram showing a system for forwarding SMS messages to a destination device according to an embodiment of the present invention. Next, referring to FIG. 2, one embodiment of the present invention provides a system that forwards an SMS message to a destination device according to the intended presence of the recipient in real time. A system according to an embodiment of the present invention includes an SMS text message originator 202, an SMS server 204 including routing logic 206, a dynamic message control server 208, an IM server 210, and one or more destination devices 212, 214. , 216 and include. One embodiment includes an additional media storage device 218.
SMS Text Message Originator (originator) 202 generates an SMS text message addressed to the phone number of recipient mobile devices 212, 214, or to the email address of desktop computer 216. The SMS text message sender 202 is any SMS generating device that can generate and send SMS text messages addressed to a phone number or email address, such as an SMS-enabled mobile device, web browser or IM client. Is possible.
In one embodiment, the SMS server 204 receives the SMS text message after the SMS message sender instructs the sender 202 to send the SMS message to the destination device 212, 214 or 216. The SMS server 204 then forwards it to the dynamic message control server 208.
The dynamic message control server 208 can perform various actions using SMS text messages, such as whether the SMS message should be forwarded as an instant message or whether the SMS message should be forwarded in the state of its original content. To judge. Details of these operations are described below in FIG.
If the dynamic message control server 208 determines that the SMS message should be forwarded as an instant message, the dynamic message control server 208 forwards the SMS message to the IM server 210 for further transmission as an instant message. .. The IM server 210 then forwards the SMS message as an instant message to one or more instant message receivers 214,216 for that instant message identifier. In one embodiment, the destination device is an IM-enabled mobile device 214 displaying an IM interface. Instead, the destination device 216 is a computer terminal that displays an IM interface.
If the dynamic message control server 208 determines that the SMS message should be forwarded as an SMS message through the SMS server 204, the routing logic 206 then transfers the SMS message to a mobile phone number with an addressed phone number. Forward. Instead, dynamic message control server 208 is implemented within or with the routing logic 206 of SMS server 204, or within IM server 210, or partly within SMS server 204 and partly within IM server 210. It is possible.
In one embodiment, the destination device is an SMS-enabled mobile device 214. It is understood that different devices can be used to receive different types of electronic messages. For example, mobile device 214 can be used to receive SMS messages. Computer terminal 216 can be used to receive IM messages. The mobile device 214 can also be used to receive IM messages if it is IMS-enabled.
In this way, the SMS text message is routed to the destination devices 214 and 216 according to the routing route determined by the IM server 210. Dynamic message control server 208 maintains a database containing information for mapping phone numbers for SMS messages to corresponding instant message identifiers and user preferences. This user's preference and this mapping between the phone number and the IM identifier is used by the dynamic message control server 208 to route SMS messages according to the embodiments of the present invention.
In another embodiment, the media storage device 218 is provided to store various messages. For example, SMS text messages can be forwarded not only to the IM server 210 but also to the media storage device 218. Messages containing images can be transferred to online journals or albums. In addition, user preferences may be applicable so that only messages originating from a registered telephone number can be forwarded to this media storage device 218. Alternatively, the user's preference may also be applicable so that messages from any outgoing telephone number can be forwarded to this medium storage device 218.
In addition, media storage device 218 provides storage when a message cannot be transferred to a phone number for the destination mobile device. For example, when the destination mobile device cannot receive the message or a portion of the message, the entire message and / or the portion may be forwardable for storage.
Any type of electronic message addressed to the phone, such as text messages, SMS short text messages, MMS (Multimedia Messaging Services) messages, video messages, graphic messages and voice messages, can be routed according to the embodiments of the present invention. Is understood to be.
FIG. 3 is a block diagram showing a method of transferring an SMS text message according to an embodiment of the present invention. Then referring to FIG. 3, the present invention presents one or more IMs displaying an SMS text message format mobile device, or IM message interface, depending on whether there is an IM message receiver capable of receiving IM messages. Provides a method of forwarding an SMS text message addressed to any phone number of a message receiver.
In one embodiment of the invention, the SMS text message recipient subscribes to both the SMS service and the IM service. Upon registration of the service, the recipient typically receives, or has already been assigned, an SMS address, which is the phone number of the mobile device number for the SMS service. For example, SMS text message recipient Jane Smith is assigned her mobile phone number, 650.555.1212, to her SMS text message address. Mobile phone users can send SMS text messages to Jane Smith's mobile phone by identifying the phone number 650.555.1212 as the destination address. Email addresses such as 6505551212@serviceprovider.com are used to send text messages from email client programs to the service provider's SMS center for delivery as SMS text messages to mobile devices at address 650.555.1212. It is also possible.
Meanwhile, she registers her identification within the IM service system, eg, a screen name representing Jane Smith. When setting up her user profile, she associates her screen name for her IM service with the mobile device number for her SMS service. Thus, for example, the user profile database of the dynamic message control server associates the screen name "Jane Smith" with the mobile device number 650.555.1212.
The user profile database can also associate her screen name with other profile information about the recipient, such as Jane Smith's preference in routing SMS messages as instant messages. For example, she can identify the user's preference information that guides the decision process when forwarding an SMS text message as an IM message, and the user's preference information for filtering the forwarded message. For example, the filter can include a SPAM filter, a rate-limiting filter, a do-not-message list filter, or even a do-not-call list filter.
In one embodiment, the SMS text message sender instructs the SMS sender to send an SMS text message to a mobile device address that includes a mobile device number (302). The SMS server receives the SMS text message and forwards it to the dynamic message control server (304).
The dynamic message control server then determines whether the recipient of the mobile device number enables the SMS forwarding feature (304). SMS text messages are forwarded directly to the mobile device number (308) if it is determined that the recipient of the mobile device number did not enable the SMS forwarding feature (306).
If it is determined that the recipient of the mobile device number has enabled the SMS forwarding feature (306), the SMS server then checks in the user's preference profile to bring the recipient to the IM service address. Decide if you want the SMS message to be forwarded as an instant message (310).
If it is determined that the recipient does not want to forward the SMS message as an instant message (310), the SMS text message will be forwarded to that intended mobile device number of that mobile phone number (308).
If the recipient wishes to forward the SMS message as an instant message (310), then it is determined whether the IM receiver can receive the IM message (312).
In one embodiment of the invention, it is dynamically determined whether the recipient's IM service receiver is capable of receiving IM messages (312). If it is determined that the recipient's IM service receiver is not ready to receive the IM message (312), the SMS text message will be forwarded as an SMS text message to the intended mobile device address (308). However, if the recipient's IM service receiver is determined to be able to receive the IM message (312), the SMS text message will be forwarded as an instant message to the recipient's IM display interface for delivery. (314). Various functions can be implemented when forwarding an SMS message as an IM message. These features are discussed below with reference to their respective figures.
In one embodiment, the recipient's IM display interface is on a computer terminal. In another embodiment, the recipient's IM display interface is on a mobile device such as a PDA or mobile phone. Once the instant messaging interface is activated, information for setting up real-time or near-real-time communication with the IM message receiving device is sent to the IM server so that the IM message can be delivered in real-time or near real-time.
In one embodiment of the invention, the IM user can also respond to the sender of the SMS message. It is forwarded as an SMS message to that SMS user using IM forwarding to the SMS service (314). For example, a server that forwards an SMS message to an IM receiver knows the source of the SMS message. When the IM receiver responds to the sender of the SMS message with the IM message, the server automatically translates the IM message into an SMS message for delivery to that sender. When this SMS message is delivered to the device used by the SMS text message sender, it will be clear that it originates from that phone number that was first addressed.
In one embodiment, the invention provides a method of logging a date and time, an instant message identifier, or a storage medium relating to the delivery of a message to an email address. The method also provides a method of transferring an electronic message to a storage medium that temporarily or permanently stores the electronic message. This message can be forwarded according to the time and date preferences of the instant message receiver.
Thus, the present invention bridges the gap between the two worlds of SMS and IM services. The present invention allows IM service subscribers to direct SMS services to the IM service community. SMS text messages are determined by the IM server in dynamic real-time and can be received as instant messages routed to the IM service client she is signed on to.
On the other hand, SMS text message senders with SMS-enabled mobile phones will not need to learn anything new because not knowing the new technology may be an obstacle for some users. .. By sending an SMS text message to a mobile device number that happens to be registered with the instant message transfer feature for SMS text messaging, the SMS text message user communicates with an IM user existing on the Internet through the IM user interface. can do.
In addition, someone who uses both instant messaging and SMS keeps in touch with those who know him only by his mobile number; they will not need to know his IM identification. They could easily send an MS text message to a mobile phone number.
The present invention provides a method for facilitating domain sharing with wireless carriers and automatically dealing with many wireless telephone service users when they sign on to the IM service. For example, if a radiotelephone service user's phone number is registered with the IM service using the IMS screen name, the radiotelephone number will automatically be eligible to use the IMS message transfer service. .. Thus, IMS subscribers can go online through the IM client, receive IM messages, and receive SMS text messages sent to wireless phone numbers.
FIG. 4 is a block diagram showing a method of selectively forwarding an electronic message based on a user's preference according to an embodiment of the present invention. According to the embodiments of the present invention, various operations can be performed when transferring an electronic message based on a user's preference. For example, the user can choose whether or not to forward the SMS message and where to forward the SMS message. The user's preference can be set when registering the SMS or IM service, or can be changed later.
Then, referring to Figure 4, after receiving the SMS text message addressed to the phone number (402), the dynamic message control server sends the SMS text message to the user, regardless of the availability of the IM receiver. Decide whether to transfer based on the reference (404). If it is determined that an SMS text message should be forwarded as an SMS text message, regardless of the availability of the IM receiver, based on the user's preferences (404), then that SMS text message is therefore it. Is forwarded as an SMS text message to a mobile phone with an addressed phone number without sending the message as an instant message (406). In practice, the IMS service is blocked for SMS text message senders.
If it is determined based on the user's preference that the SMS text message should not be forwarded as an SMS text message, regardless of the availability of the IM receiver (404), the dynamic message control server then decides that it should not be forwarded. Detects whether a receiver with an instant message identifier associated with a phone number can receive instant messages (408).
If the receiver of the instant message identifier associated with the phone number is determined not to be able to receive the instant message (408), the SMS text message will be sent to the addressed phone number without sending it as a constant message. , Forwarded as an SMS text message (406). However, if the receiver of the instant message identifier associated with the phone number is determined to be able to receive the instant message (408), the SMS text message will receive the instant message identifier based on the user's preference. Transferred to the machine (410).
In this way, the IMS user controls whether she wants to receive SMS text messages as instant messages.
Therefore, the instant message is generated and forwarded to the instant message receiver with an instant message identifier such as a screen name (412). In one embodiment, the recipient of an SMS text message may choose to use one particular user interface to receive the message and manage her conversation. Various electronic devices can be configured to display the IMS user interface. Such electronic devices include, but are not limited to, computer terminals, personal digital assistants (PDAs), mobile or wired telephone handsets or other mobile devices. For example, by starting a software program for the user interface and connecting to the instant message server using the screen name, the user selected the selected device after using it to receive instant messages. The device will be able to receive instant messages.
For example, Jane Smith can sign on to her computer to enjoy the rich messaging experience offered by IM service clients. IM clients can group messages from the same person in a single window. When an SMS text message can be forwarded to an IM service client, the SMS text message recipient will include the SMS text message, including some of the same functionality, for example, grouping messages from the same person into a conversation. You can sign on to the IM interface to receive SMS text messages using the IM service client, which provides a better experience than the interface.
FIG. 5 is a flow chart showing a method of receiving an SMS text message having a privacy function according to an embodiment of the present invention. User A uses the mobile device to receive and send SMS text messages from User B. Subsequently, user A wants to stop receiving messages from user B. The present invention provides a method of stopping receiving SMS text messages from unwanted sources.
Then, referring to FIG. 5, User A can use a predetermined phone number that is available to all subscribers who forward SMS who wish to use the privacy feature. User A can send a text message containing User B's phone number to a predetermined phone number in order to stop receiving the SMS text message from User B's phone number.
In one embodiment, the SMS server receives an SMS text message sent by User A, who is addressed to a predetermined phone number (502). Determines if the SMS text message originating from User A contains a phone number, eg, User B's phone number (504). If it is determined that the SMS text message originating from User A contains User B's phone number, any subsequent SMS text message from User B's phone number to User A's phone number will be User A's phone. It will not be forwarded to the number or the instant message identifier associated with User A's phone number (506). Therefore, subsequent SMS text messages from User B to User A will be blocked. In fact, User B's SMS text message intended to reach User A is ignored.
Instead, unwanted messages can be transferred to storage media for permanent storage.
In another embodiment, user A uses a computer to create a list of telephone numbers to block. In this case, all unwanted messages from that phone number on the block list will be blocked.
In one embodiment, this "deaf ear" phone number is no longer received by the recipient of the first SMS text message, eg, User A, from its sender, eg, User B. Generate an SMS text message as an automatic response stating that you do not want to.
However, if it is determined that the SMS text message originating from User A does not include User B's phone number (504), this SMS text message will be forwarded according to the user's preference (508).
As such, the present invention provides a method of blocking any subsequent messages originating from a identified telephone number to that telephone number of the user or to an instant message identifier associated with this user's telephone number. Similarly, User A sends subsequent instant messages originating from the screen name associated with User B's phone number by sending User B's phone number in the SMS message to a predetermined phone number. You can choose to block.
FIG. 6 is a flow chart showing a method of selectively forwarding an SMS text message according to an embodiment of the present invention. FIG. 6 is a flow chart showing a method of selectively forwarding an SMS text message according to an embodiment of the present invention. The present invention leads IMS functionality to SMS services.
Next, referring to FIG. 6, in one embodiment, once the SMS server receives the SMS text message (602), the source information regarding the sending and destination phone number of the SMS text message is packaged (604). .. Without sending the SMS text message itself, the packet containing the source information of the SMS text message is sent to the dynamic message control server (606). Once received by the dynamic message control server, the content of the packet is checked against the user's preference (608).
In one embodiment, the user's preference can be set by the destination telephone number user or its parent who supervises as the parent of the teenager user. For example, a destination phone number user can instruct a user's preference to block SMS text messages originating from a particular phone number. In this case, the dynamic message control server checks whether the packet for the destination phone number contains the specified phone number. If it does, the message is blocked or filtered according to the user's preference.
It then decides whether to forward this SMS text message to its destination phone number (610). If it is determined that this SMS text message can go to its destination, deliver this SMS text message to an SMS-enabled mobile phone or IMS receiver (612). Instead, if it is determined that the SMS text message should not go to its destination, no attempt is made to deliver the SMS text message (614).
In one embodiment, the user may choose to block the transfer of all other SMS text messages, but according to its source information, only certain types of SMS text messages will be on the mobile phone or its IMS receiver. Can be made possible to reach. For example, a user can register a preference to receive SMS text messages from only two sources, such as phone numbers from the user's parents and the user's boss. Alternatively, the user can register a preference to receive all SMS text messages except one or more identified source phone numbers.
FIG. 7 is a block diagram showing a method of forwarding an SMS text message according to an embodiment of the present invention. The present invention provides a method of forwarding an SMS text message according to predetermined rules.
Next, referring to FIG. 7, in one embodiment, a preference for at least one user is provided to allow the user to create a rule to register and forward SMS text messages (702). ). One or more specific unwanted words can be entered into a database available for later checking. For example, a user could create a rule to remove certain disrespectful words from all incoming SMS text messages before the message is forwarded as an instant message or delivered to the phone as an SMS text message. Yes; or the message is completely blocked from being forwarded. In another embodiment, the user may choose to remove certain words or sentences or paragraphs that imply illegal drag from all incoming SMS text messages. In another embodiment, the user can choose to apply different filters provided by the system. Various filters create rules to forward SMS text messages.
After the SMS server receives the SMS text message (704), the content of the SMS text message is checked with the target word, and a decision is made as to whether certain selection rules are applicable to the incoming SMS text message. Being (706). In one embodiment, the search is performed to determine if the SMS text message contains the word of interest stored in the database. Once it is determined that a selection rule is applicable to an incoming SMS text message (706), a new message is generated according to a predetermined selection rule (708). For example, unwanted target words from the beginning in an SMS text message are deleted; and an instant message without that target word is generated.
If the selection rule is not applicable to the incoming SMS text message (706), the SMS text message will be forwarded in its original content state according to the user's preference.
As such, the present invention provides a parent control method that allows a parent to supervise the use of an SMS message system by a minor.
FIG. 8 is a block diagram showing a method of forwarding an SMS message according to an embodiment of the present invention. The present invention provides a method of generating an automatic response in response to an SMS text message.
Then referring to Figure 8, User A has been using Short Message Service (SMS) to send and receive SMS (short message service) text messages from his mobile phone. User A then wants to automatically generate a response to other users who send him a message. User A has a text message containing an automatic response to a predetermined phone number, for example, a message "Let's go fishing (Gone Fishin')" sent to a predetermined phone number "* 99" or "4699". To send.
In one embodiment, after the SMS server receives an SMS text message addressed to a predetermined phone number (802), the dynamic message control server determines the source phone number of the SMS text message (804). ). Based on the source phone number information, the user's preference for the source phone number is modified so that an auto attendant is generated for any subsequent SMS text messages addressed to the source phone number (806). ). For example, when the SMS server receives the SMS text message "Let's go fishing (Gone Fishin')" from User A, the phone number associated with User A is determined, and User A's preference is that. The server is modified to generate an automatic response to subsequent SMS text messages addressed to that phone number.
For example, when an incoming SMS message is determined to be addressed to a phone number requesting an auto attendant, an SMS text message containing the auto attendant is generated (808). A phone number requesting an auto-answer service, such as the context of an SMS message from user A's phone number, can be used to generate an auto-answer. For example, user A sends a text message "Let's go fishing (Gone Fishin')" to a predetermined phone number "* 99" or "4699", and then any addressed to user A's phone number. Text message is automatically replied with the auto-generated response text message "Gone Fishin'", which is the equivalent of voicemail greeting / auto-reply to user A. Will.
Therefore, this operation activates a function that generates an automatic response. Optionally, a special state can be associated with this autoresponder that would be visible on devices that support the display of such a state.
Although the above embodiments and embodiments are described in special combinations and flow sequences, different combinations and different ordering of processing steps can be used. Some user preferences can be shared or derived from other products and references.
Alternatively, some additional user preferences can be configured to adjust message delivery to the instant message receiver based on time and date. For example, in FIG. 7, a message is displayed within a certain time period, for example, from 12:00 am to 6:00 am, and / or within a date range, for example, from 12/25/03 to 1/1/04. There may be pre-determined rules stating that they will not be forwarded to either the instant message receiver and / or the mobile device. In addition, the user can identify the auto-response during this period, as shown in FIG.
In one embodiment, message delivery could also rely on community-wide SPAM rules that go beyond the user's preferences. For example, if the calling phone number violates any community-wide rules, is excluded from the community, or sends too many messages within a certain amount of time (ie rate limiting), this phone number will May be listed on the phone number list. If the phone number is on this list, the dynamic message control server will not deliver messages originating from this phone number to any destination device. Similarly, you can choose to put the destination phone number on a "Do Not Message" list, which is similar to the "Do Not Call" list. In fact, if this destination phone number is on the list, messages from a certain calling phone number will not be delivered to this destination phone number.
In one embodiment, the message log is created by the dynamic message control server, regardless of how the message is forwarded. For example, if the message is forwarded directly to the mobile device number, as in step (308), this behavior is recorded in this log. This log will be accessible by administrator tools that may be part of the dynamic message control server.
It is understood that the present invention can be implemented on an SMS-C server or on a separate server such as an IM server. A dynamic message control server can be included in the SMS-C server. The routing logic can be implemented independently of the SMS server that has its dynamic message control server.
It is important to note that examples of this method can be further used with other types of electronic messages. Other types of electronic messages include any type of electronic message that can be delivered and received by SMS / MMS-enabled and / or IMS-enabled electronic devices, such as text messages, MMS messages, video messages and voice messages. SMS-enabled and IMS-enabled electronic devices include computers, personal digital assistants (PDAs), mobile or wired telephone handsets or other electronic devices.
An embodiment of the present invention clearly embodies a computer-readable program instruction that can be executed by a device that transmits an electronic message according to the method described above and a computer that performs the method of updating address information as described above. It is also important to note that it includes a program storage medium.
Although the present invention has been described herein with reference to preferred embodiments, those skilled in the art will deviate from the spirit and scope of the invention in lieu of the uses described herein. It will be easy to understand that it can be replaced with another application. Therefore, the present invention shall be limited only by the appended claims.
