Techniques for managing radio link failure recovery for a user equipment connected to a wwan and a wlan

A method of managing a radio link failure recovery, comprising: establishing (1305) a first communication link (661) with a first node (605-a) using wide area wireless network radio access technology , WWAN; establish (1305) a second communication link (662), different from the first communication link (661), with a second node different (605-b) from the first node (605-a) using a network radio access technology wireless local area, WLAN; transmit (1310) at least one first data stream over the first communication link (661) using WWAN radio access technology and at least one second data stream over the second communication link (662) using access technology by radio WLAN; detecting (1315) a radio link failure, between a user equipment and the first node (605-a), on the first communication link (661) using WWAN radio access technology; determining (1320) to suspend the at least one second data stream on the second communication link (662) when the radio link failure is detected on the first communication link (661); suspending the transmission of the at least one second data stream over the second communication link; characterized by detecting a recovery from the radio link failure; and resuming transmission of the at least one second data stream over the second communication link in response to the recovery detection.
