  1. 1
A method for managing a radio link failure recovery, comprising:establishing (1305) a first communication link (661) with a first node (605-a) using a wireless wide area network, WWAN, radio access technology;establishing (1305) a second communication link (662), different from the first communication link (661), with a second node different (605-b) from the first node (605-a) using a wireless local area network, WLAN, radio access technology;transmitting (1310) at least one first data flow over the first communication link (661) using the WWAN radio access technology and at least one second data flow over the second communication link (662) using the WLAN radio access technology;detecting (1315) a radio link failure, between a user equipment and the first node (605-a), in the first communication link (661) that uses the WWAN radio access technology;determining (1320) to suspend the at least one second data flow over the second communication link (662) when the radio link failure is detected in the first communication link (661);suspending the transmission of the at least one second data flow over the second communication link;characterized by detecting a recovery from the radio link failure;and resuming the transmission of the at least one second data flow over the second communication link in response to detecting the recovery.
  2. 8
An apparatus for managing a radio link failure recovery, comprising:means for establishing a first communication link with a first node using a wireless wide area network, WWAN, radio access technology;means for establishing a second communication link, different from the first communication link, with a second node different from the first node using a wireless local area network, WLAN, radio access technology;means for transmitting at least one first data flow over the first communication link using the WWAN radio access technology and at least one second data flow over the second communication link using the WLAN radio access technology;means for detecting a radio link failure, between a user equipment and the first node, in the first communication link that uses the WWAN radio access technology;and means for determining to suspend the at least one second data flow over the second communication link when the radio link failure is detected in the first communication link;means for suspending the transmission of the at least one second data flow over the second communication link;characterized by means for detecting a recovery from the radio link failure;and means for resuming the transmission of the at least one second data flow over the second communication link in response to detecting the recovery.
  3. 10
A method for managing a radio link failure recovery, comprising:receiving (1505), from a user equipment, a radio link failure recovery indication corresponding to a first communication link (661), wherein the first communication link (661) is configured to carry at least one first data flow using a wireless wide area network, WWAN, radio access technology;receiving (1510) an indication that a second communication link (662) different from the first communication link is established with the user equipment, the indication indicating that the second communication link (662) is established via a wireless local area network, WLAN, radio access technology, wherein the second communication link (662) is configured to carry at least one second data flow using the WLAN radio access technology;determining (1515) whether the user equipment is to resume transmission of the at least one second data flow over the second communication link (662) using the WLAN radio access technology after receiving the radio link failure recovery indication;and indicating (1520) to the user equipment whether to resume transmission of the at least one second data flow over the second communication link (662) using the WLAN radio access technology.
  4. 13
A computer-readable medium storing computer-executable code, the computer-executable code comprising code for causing at least one computer to perform the method of any one of claims 1-7 and 10-12.
  5. 14
An apparatus for managing a radio link failure recovery, comprising:means for receiving (1505), from a user equipment, a radio link failure recovery indication corresponding to a first communication link (661), wherein the first communication link is configured to carry at least one first data flow using a wireless wide area network, WWAN, radio access technology;means for receiving (1510) an indication that a second communication link (662) different from the first communication link is established with the user equipment, , the indication indicating that the second communication link (662) is established via a wireless local area network, WLAN, radio access technology, wherein the second communication link is configured to carry at least one second data flow using the WLAN radio access technology;means for determining (1515) whether the user equipment is to resume transmission of the at least one second data flow over the second communication link using the WLAN radio access technology after receiving the radio link failure recovery indication;and means for indicating (1520) to the user equipment whether to resume transmission of the at least one second data flow over the second communication link using the WLAN radio access technology.
