  1. 1
A method for managing service bindings over an access domain, the method comprising steps of:upon receipt (310) of a service request related message at an access edge node for a first device of a user domain, the service request related message identifying the first device of the user domain and a service provider domain, creating (340) a service binding at the access edge node, the service binding ruling data traffic between the first device of the user domain and the service provider domain by committing an access node serving the user domain and the access edge node in managing of data traffic therebetween over the access domain;informing (350) the access node serving the user domain for which the service request related message is received of the created service binding;and enforcing (360) the created service binding at the access node and the access edge node for data traffic over the access domain between the first device of the user domain and the service provider domain.
  2. 2
The method in accordance with claim 1, wherein the service binding includes the first device of the user domain in a Virtual Local Area Network over the access domain controlled by the access edge node for the service provider domain.
  3. 3
The method in accordance with claim 1, further comprising steps of:receiving (310) another service request related message at the access edge node for a second device of the user domain for the service provider;modifying (395) the created service binding by adding to the created service binding the second device of the user domain;informing (350) the access node serving the user domain of the modified service binding;and enforcing (360) the modified service binding at the access node and the access edge node for data traffic between the first and second devices of the user domain and the service provider domain.
  4. 4
The method in accordance with claim 3, further comprising steps of:receiving (310) a termination service request at the access edge node from the service provider domain for the first user device of the user domain;removing (390) from the service binding the first user device;informing (350) the access node of the removal of the first user device from the service binding and modifying the service binding at the access node accordingly;and enforcing (360) the newly modified service binding at the access node.
  5. 5
The method in accordance with claim 3, further comprising steps of:receiving (310) a termination service request at the access edge node from the service provider domain for the first user device of the user domain;removing (390) the service binding from the access edge node;and informing (350) the access node of the removed service binding.
  6. 6
The method in accordance with claim 1, wherein the access edge node and the access node concurrently handle multiple service bindings for multiple user domains and multiple service provider domains.
  7. 7
An access edge node (160) for managing service bindings over an access domain, the access edge node (160) being located in the access domain between user domains and service provider domains, the access edge node (160) comprising:an input/output unit (410) for receiving a service request related message for a first device of a user domain for a service provider domain;a service agent unit (440) for creating a service binding, the service binding ruling data traffic between the first device of the user domain and the service provider domain over the access domain, the service binding committing an access node (120) serving the user domain and the access edge node (160) representing the service provider domain in handling of data traffic therebetween over the access domain;and a controlling unit (450) for informing the access node (120) serving the user domain for which the service request related message is received of the creation of the service binding through the input/output unit (410), and for enforcing the created service binding at the access edge node (160) for data traffic between the first device of the user domain and the service provider domain over the access domain.
  8. 8
The access edge node (160) in accordance with claim 7, wherein the created service binding includes the first device of the user domain in a Virtual Local Area Network (VLAN) over the access domain controlled by the access edge node for the service provider domain.
  9. 9
The access edge node (160) in accordance with claim 7, wherein the input/output unit (410) is further adapted to forward data traffic from the first user device to the service provider and to receive data traffic from the service provider for the first user device.
  10. 10
The access edge node (160) in accordance with claim 8, wherein:the service agent unit (440) comprises a service agents' management and control unit (442) and a service bindings hosting unit (444), the service agents' management and control unit (442) is adapted to control the VLAN over the access domain for the service provider domain and to create, to modify or to remove the service binding, and the service bindings hosting unit (444) is adapted to host the service bindings;and the controlling unit (450) is further adapted to inform the access node (120) serving the user domain when the service agents' management and control unit (442) modifies or removes the service binding.
  11. 11
The access edge node (160) in accordance with claim 10, wherein:the service agents' management and control unit (442) is further adapted to concurrently control multiple VLANs over the access domain, each of the VLAN corresponding to one service provider domain;and the service bindings hosting unit (444) is further adapted to concurrently host multiple service bindings for multiple user domains and multiple service provider domains.
  12. 13
The access node (120) in accordance with claim 12, wherein the aggregation unit (680) is adapted to concurrently host multiple service bindings for multiple user domains and multiple service provider domains
  13. 14
The access node (120) in accordance with claim 13, wherein each of the service bindings refers to a Virtual Local Area Network (VLAN) over the access domain.
