8 claims: 4 independent, 4 dependent

  1. 1
A signal transmission method for transmitting a first symbol and a second symbol, comprising:modulating a plurality of carriers by data to be transmitted, according to digital modulation, to produce modulated carriers;Inverse Fast Fourier Transforming said modulated carriers into said second symbol;transmitting said first symbol which is constructed by executing an inverse fast Fourier operation of a signal in which one of the plurality of carriers is left as a pseudo random signal by amplitude modulation using a binary pseudo random code and the other carriers are suppressed, , wherein a repetition period of the pseudo random code is the same as a symbol period of said second symbol;and transmitting said second symbol.
  2. 2
A signal receiving method comprising:receiving an input signal to produce a received signal;wherein said input signal has a first symbol and a second symbol, said first symbol is constructed by executing an inverse fast Fourier operation of a signal in which one of the plurality of carriers is left as a pseudo random signal by amplitude modulation using a binary pseudo random code and the other carriers are suppressed, a repetition period of the pseudo random code is the same as a symbol period of said second symbol, and said second symbol has information of data and is modulated by said data according to digital modulation. Fourier Transforming (4) said second symbol of said received signal into a plurality of carriers;and demodulating (5) said plurality of carriers according to digital modulation to produce said data based on a synchronization information obtained from said first symbol.
  3. 5
A signal transmission apparatus for transmitting a first symbol and a second symbol, comprising:a modulator for modulating a plurality of carriers by data to be transmitted, according to digital modulation, to produce modulated carriers;an inverse Fast Fourier Transformer for transforming said modulated carriers into said second symbol;and a transmitter for transmitting said first symbol which is constructed by executing an inverse fast Fourier operation of a signal in which one of the plurality of carriers is left as a pseudo random signal by amplitude modulation using a binary pseudo random code and the other carriers are suppressed and transmitting said second symbol, wherein a repetition period of the pseudo random code is the same as a symbol period of said second symbol.
  4. 6
A signal receiving apparatus comprising:a receiver for receiving an input signal to produce a received signal;wherein said input signal has a first symbol and a second symbol, said first symbol is constructed by executing an inverse fast Fourier operation of a signal in which one of the plurality of carriers is left as a pseudo random signal by amplitude modulation using a binary pseudo random code and the other carriers are suppressed, a repetition period of the pseudo random code is the same as a symbol period of said second symbol, and said second symbol has information of data and is modulated by said data according to digital modulation;a Fourier Transformer (4) for transforming said second symbol of said received signal into a plurality of carriers;and a demodulator (5) for demodulating said plurality of carriers according to digital modulation to produce said data based on synchronization information obtained from said first symbol.
