  1. 1
Method to collect performance measurements about events related to radio link deletion in a digital cellular communication network (UE, UTRAN, Core Network) deploying an active set of multiple radio links between at least a user equipment (UE) and the radio access network (UTRAN), the radio links being set up both inside the serving cell (NodeB, CellA) and towards one or more adjacent cells (NodeB, CellC) belonging to adjacent clusters controlled by respective radio controllers (S-RNC, D-RNC) which are connected to one another (Iur) in order to act either as master (S-RNC) of the active set in communication with the core network (1) or as slave (D-RNC) for managing directly controlled radio resources and executing requests from the master devoted to radio link set up or deletion, characterized in that :• the master radio controller (S-RNC), when calling a slave (D-RNC) for requesting a specific radio link deletion from the active set, also sends to it information about the cause of that deletion;and • the slave radio controller (D-RNC) when it receives said cause information increments a performance measurement counter associated to the specific cause and to the specific cell the radio link deletion is requested for.
  2. 2
The method of the preceding claim, characterized in that said cause information includes the indication as to whether the voice and/or packet connection is released or not.
  3. 8
The method of one of the preceding claims, characterized in that said cause information is included in a radio link deletion request message.
  4. 9
A radio controller (S-RNC) configured to transmit a radio link deletion message to a second radio controller (D-RNC) characterized in that the radio controller (S-RNC) is configured to include an Information Element specifying the cause of the radio link deletion in the radio link deletion message.
