An implant system for resurfacing at least a portion of an articulation surface of a bone includes an implant (300) having a top articular surface (306) and an opposing bone apposition surface (303). A first line (438) is coupled with the implant so as to extend away from the bone apposition surface without passing through the top articular surface of the implant. The system also includes a bone anchor (810) and means for securing a portion of the first line to the bone anchor.
