Leg holder device
Abstract
The supports (22) with their end remote from the leg locator are adjustably located via a ball joint (18) on a retainer accommodation (14) and by means of a fixture device can be fixed in a required position. The ball joint is so arranged on the retainer accommodation, that the central axis of the ball pin is directed in the central position of the joint parts (42) horizontally and at an angle of approximately 45 degrees to the longitudinal central axis of the patient location (10) of the bed or chair. The supports are adjustable in their length.

The invention relates to a leg holder assembly to a bed or chair for gynecological or urological treatments and / or examinations, comprising two leg holders each having a rod-shaped support and, arranged at one end thereof leg support, the support of her leg rest far end of a ball joint mounted a holder support adjustable by means of a locking device can be locked in a desired position.
In a known leg holder assembly of the aforementioned type, the ball stud of the ball joint is arranged on a horizontal limb of the holder support in such a way that the central axis of the ball pivot is aligned horizontally and perpendicular to the longitudinal central axis of the patient support of the bed or chair. It has been found that with this arrangement, the range of movement of the leg rest is limited and that an adjustment of the leg supports in the sense of a change of the spreading of the patient's legs without a length adjustment of the supports is not possible. This means that the examiner or person being treated the patient's leg has to contribute to the adjustment of the leg rest. Thus, the adjustment of the leg supports is cumbersome and time-consuming for both the patient and for the treating or examining person.
The invention is based on the object of a leg holder arrangement of the type described above so that the position of the leg rests can be changed easily and without effort and both the patient comfort and the ease of use for treating or examining person is increased.
This object is inventively achieved in that the ball joint is in each case arranged on the holder support, that the central axis of the ball stud directed in a central middle position of the joint parts of the ball joint horizontally and at an angle of approximately 45 ° to the longitudinal central axis of the patient support of the bed or chair is.
This arrangement of the ball joint permits adjustment of the leg holder in such a way that they substantially follow the natural movement possibility of the hip joints of the patient when the leg spreading. A change of leg spread is possible without length adjustment of the supports, even if they are adjusted appropriately in their length in order to adjust the leg supports to people of different heights can.
In the known leg support assembly of the respective leg support could be fixed via a clamping screw in position. Thereby, the loosening and clamping leg holder was relatively time consuming. To eliminate this drawback, the invention proposes, tHe the locking device comprises an adjustable via an eccentric clamping device. This allows for quick and convenient operation of the locking device with one hand.
In a preferred embodiment the clamping means in this case comprises one of the ball socket pivotably mounted clamping piece, wherein the eccentric lever in the ball socket or the clamping piece is rotatably mounted, and wherein on a respect to the rotational axis of the eccentric portion of the eccentric lever, a tensioning element is rotatably mounted, which on the other one part of the clamp (clamp or ball socket) attacks.
Further features and advantages of the invention will become apparent from the following description, the invention using an exemplary embodiment explained in connection with the accompanying drawings. Show it:

figure 1

a schematic end view of a patient support with the leg holder assembly according to the invention,

figure 2

a schematic plan view of the patient support and the leg support assembly,

figure 3

a vertical section in a containing the center axis of the ball pivot plane through the ball socket and the clamping means and

figure 4

a section through a part of the clamping device along the line IV-IV in FIG. 3

In Figures 1 and 2 is shown at 10 the seat or base cushion of a chair for gynecological or urological treatments and / or examinations otherwise not shown. However, it may also be the support pad of an obstetrics bed. Close to the longitudinal end in the region of the corners of the seat cushion holder receptacles are arranged each with one fastened to the bed or chair frame vertical leg 12 and a horizontal leg fourteenth The horizontal leg 14 is directed so that its longitudinal axis 16 forms an angle of approximately 45 ° with the longitudinal center axis 17 of the seat cushion 10 and thus with the longitudinal center axis a lying on the seat cushion 10 patients.
At the free end of the horizontal leg 14 a leg holder 20 is pivoted about a generally designated 18 ball joint. The leg holder 20 includes an adjustable in its length of approximately L-shaped bracket 22, which via a ball joint 24, a leg rest carries at the free end of their short L-leg 26th This leg holder 20 per se is known and serves to support a leg of a patient, which is also shown schematically. In this case, with the hip joint 28, denoted by 30 of the thigh with the knee joint 32, 34 with the lower leg and with the foot 26 of the patient. In Figures 1 and 2, the leg bracket 20 and the legs of the patient are shown in two different spread positions, once with solid lines and one in dashed lines.
The ball joint 18, via which the respective leg holder 20 is pivoted to the horizontal leg 14, includes a ball stud 38, which is arranged on the horizontal leg 14 of the holder support that its central axis 40 coincides with the longitudinal axis 16 of the horizontal leg. On the ball of the ball pin 38 is a socket 42 that is integrally connected to the support 22 of the leg holder 20th
For detecting the leg holder to the ball stud 38 is a clamping device 44. This comprises a clamping piece 46 which is pivotable about an axis 48 mounted on the ball socket 42 and matched within one of the spherical surface of the ball stud 38 sliding surface 50 carries a clamping insert 52nd In the clamping piece 46, an eccentric 54 is rotatably mounted about an axis 48 to the pivot of the clamping piece 46 axis of rotation parallel 56th On a central eccentric portion 58 of the eccentric lever 54, a clamping piece 60 is rotatably mounted, in that a clamping pin 62 is screwed. This clamping pin 62 passes through a bore in the ball socket 42 and is provided with a head part 64 through an elastic disc 66 at the base of a recess 68 in the ball socket 42 on. By rotating the control lever 54 between the reproduced in Figure 3 by the solid and dotted lines positions is changed via the eccentric 58, the distance between the voltage applied to the ring 66 surface of the head 64 of the clamping pin 62 and him facing surface of the clamping 46th Thus, the clamp 46 is stretched in the direction of the ball socket and the spherical surface of the ball stud 38 and lifted from her.
When leg holder assembly according to the invention the change of leg spread without a length extract adjustment of the leg support posts 22 is possible. The length of the column 22 needs to be set to the individual body size. The weight of the leg is transmitted to the ball joint while adjusting the leg holder. The movement of the leg holder follows the natural movement of the legs in the hip joints, so that the adjustment of the leg supports for the patient is comfortable. When adjusting the leg holder, the operator only needs Peron with one hand to keep the leg holder and to pivot while can be operated with the other hand, the eccentric lever for releasing and locking the clamping device.
