TECHNICAL FIELD
The present invention relates generally to a collapsible and / or foldable display arrangement and more particularly to such a display arrangement which has a base, attachable and / or restable, base unit, an image and / or a text having a substrate , roll-up and / or roll-up, sheets and a support adapted for supporting and holding the sheet.
In display arrangements, to which the present invention relates, it is previously known to have arranged to the upper edge of the sheet a rail or the like, which is adapted to be able to co-operate firmly but easily removably with an upper end portion for said support.
By the term -sheet- is meant primarily a surface applied to a canvas, a sheet of paper or other corresponding substrate, having an image and / or text and which sheet material is so flexible and flexible that it can be rolled up on a roller bar or equivalent (with a diameter equal to or exceeding 20 mm) and unrolled without the winding causing an inconvenient change in shape during such unrolling.
517 860
PRIOR ART OF TECHNOLOGY
Display arrangements, of an initially stated nature, are previously known in a number of different embodiments, where an example of such a display arrangement is shown in more detail and described with reference to Figures 1-4 in the present application.
Such a display arrangement has a base unit, inside which a picture and / or a text presenting, collapsible and retractable, sheets are roller-like-wound wound via a winding device and where the sheet is retractable from the base unit and where a rail arranged to the upper edge of the sheet, against the force in the winding device of the base unit, can be attached to the upper part of the support and where the sheet is kept stretched by the dead weight and the spring force in the winding device.
The display arrangement described above is marketed by Expand International AB, Nacka, Sweden under the trade name -Quick Screen-.
Considering the significant properties of the present invention, it should also be mentioned that it is previously known to have relatively thick magnetic strips applied to side-oriented edge portions of one or more sheets, so that adjacent sheets can be coordinated edge to edge without or substantially without prominent joint between the sheets.
The previous state of the art also includes the content of the following patent publications.
(Dl) FR-A1-2 754 929.
517 860
This publication shows and describes a display arrangement which, in principle and similarly to the present invention, is based on the use of a base plate (11), here in the form of a frame structure (12, 15, 16) constructed of a number of horizontally oriented rods. ) with T-shaped coupling pieces (13, 14, 17, 18) and WHICH by means of further coupling pieces (8 ', 21', 28 ') hold and extend a display surface (2) to a flat shape by means of an, to an arcuate shape curved and vertically oriented, support bar (22).
The display surface (2) has an upper hem for co-operation with a horizontally oriented rod (4).
The lower horizontal part of the display surface also has a hem for co-operation with a bar belonging to the frame structure.
(D2) ΕΡ-Ά1-0 053 933.
This patent publication shows and describes a display arrangement of a construction which is completely different from that which can be considered to apply to the present invention.
However, similar to the present invention, a display arrangement is provided here which shall consist of at least two display panels, each of these panels being able to cooperate with a support to keep them in an upright position.
Each panel (10) is to have here strongly dimensioned vertically oriented edge-related members (14 ', 15'), each with a partially cylindrical shape, which are adapted to be able to cooperate with each other.
These edge-related members (14 ', 15') are provided with magnetic means (28) in order thereby to be able to create conditions.
517 860 for an easy edge to edge interaction with each other and an easy distinction from each other and this in each selected angular position within predetermined limits.
More specifically instructed, according to p. 5, first paragraph, that the edge-related member (15 ') has a partially cylindrical surface section, to which a magnetic strip (26) consisting of rubber material is attached.
The magnetic strip should primarily be of the known construction which can use a double-sided adhesive tape for the required holding against a metal surface.
The display arrangement shown here requires for its function the use of vertical pipe sections (50), forming connecting links between side-related display surfaces.
This display arrangement manager is not intended to seamlessly expose images and text that may extend across a plurality of display surfaces as such images and text will be cut off by the diameter of the vertical tube sections.
DESCRIPTION OF THE PRESENT INVENTION
TECHNICAL PROBLEM
Considering the fact that the technical considerations that a person skilled in the relevant technical field must make in order to be able to offer a solution to one or more technical problems posed is initially a necessary insight into the measures and / or the sequence of measures to be taken and a necessary choice of the means or resources required and, consequently, the subsequent technical problems
517 860 may be relevant in the making of the present invention.
Taking into account the prior art, as described above, it would appear to be a technical problem to be able to create such conditions in a collapsible and foldable display arrangement, of an initially stated nature, that a display arrangement, and / or a plurality adjacent to each other placed display arrangements, can be used to easily expose an image and / or a text and easily store the display arrangement in an assembled position.
There is also a technical problem in being able to create such conditions that in the case of a number of display arrangements placed next to each other, an image or a text extending over a plurality of display arrangements can be exposed without a visible joint between adjacent display arrangements or in any case offer a only slightly discernible joint between these.
There is also a technical problem in being able to create such conditions, especially in display arrangements with a height which exceeds the range of a person and preferably considerably (0.2-1.0 m) exceed the range, that the orientation of the upper surface portions of the sheets , associated display arrangements arranged next to each other, can be coordinated by a magnetic attraction effect between permanent magnets related to surface portions or rails, such as to upper surface portions.
It is a technical problem to be able to realize the importance of allowing upper surface portions of a sheet to have a sheet stiffening rail or the like, the end portions of which are to be
517 860 cooperate with one or more permanent magnets, especially those made with a high magnetic attraction.
There is also a technical problem in being able to realize the significance of and the advantages associated with being able to simultaneously offer not only a horizontally directed magnetic interaction and holding between the end portions of two upper rails or the like, belonging to each other adjacent display arrangements, but also create conditions for allowing opposing edge portions, in the form of side-related edge portions, for the sheets may be provided with their own permanently magnetized magnetic strip or equivalent, in order thereby thereby offering a stiffening of the sheets' cooperation and offering an unambiguous vertical cooperation.
There is then a technical problem in being able to realize the significance of and the advantages associated with at least allowing one end portion for an upper rail to be unambiguously coordinated with an end portion for a second rail, and where opposing end portions are adapted to be able to show where its permanent magnet and that the direction of magnetization or the directions of magnetization are thereby selected so that an attractive force will act between said opposite end portions, such as a first permanent magnet belonging to a first display arrangement and a second permanent magnet or the like belonging to an adjacent second display arrangement.
There is also a technical problem in being able to realize the significance of allowing said rail to be assigned a longitudinal hole or channel, extending between aligned end portions, in which one or more permanent magnets may be fixedly related.
517 860
There is also a technical problem in being able to realize the importance of being able to choose a shape adapted and suitable for the purpose and attractive force for a permanent magnet utilized or permanent magnets or the like, to thereby form one or more magnetic fields, which are coordinated to attract associated rails. or equivalent to each other and holding them in a fixed relative position, such as in a straight extension or line, with an adapted high bending resistance to cause the rails or the like to be brought out of the indicated fixed mutual position.
There is also a technical problem in being able to realize the importance of allowing one end portion of a rail to be provided with one or more permanent magnets.
In addition, it should be seen as a technical problem to be able to select a plurality of permanent magnets for one end portion for an upper rail and a plurality of complementary permanent magnets for an opposite end portion for an adjacent upper rail.
There is also a technical problem in being able to realize the importance of allowing a rail or the like arranged at the lower edge of the sheet to have a permanent magnet, at least for its one end portion, adapted for an attractive interaction with a complementary permanent magnet belonging to a lower rail. or the like for an adjacent display arrangement.
There is also a technical problem in being able to realize the significance of also allowing the lower rail to be provided with one or more permanent magnets or corresponding associated misaligned end portions for said lower rail.
There is also a technical problem in being able to realize the significance of and the advantages associated with allowing at least one, such as one, the upper edge of the sheet belonging to the rail to have a longitudinal edge-related reinforcement, to which the upper edge portion of the sheet is attachable arranged.
There is also a technical problem in being able to realize the significance of and the advantages associated with letting at least one edge portion, a side-related edge portion, for the sheet may be provided with a permanently magnetized thin magnetic strip or the like and wherein said magnetic strip is assigned a magnetizing direction and / or selected magnetizing directions so directed and adapted that an attractive force will act between said magnetic strip and a complementary magnetic strip or equivalent attached to an opposite side-related edge portion for a sheet, belonging to an adjacent display arrangement.
There is also a technical problem in being able to realize the importance of allowing said magnetic strips to be so mutually oriented, along side-related edge portions, that a side-oriented edge portion for a first sheet will abut or be placed at a small distance from a side-oriented edge portion for a second, an adjacent, sheet.
There is also a technical problem in being able to realize the significance of and the advantages associated with having a magnetic strip selected which is assigned a thickness of 0.4-1.5 mm, such as 0.4 - 0.6 mm.
It should be seen as a technical problem to be able to create such conditions with simple measures that applied magnetic strip and an upper rail-associated reinforcement can cooperate
517 860 in such a way that breaking instructions on the sheet can be avoided.
It is then a technical problem to be able to realize the significance of allowing the magnetic strip or the like to extend past a removed end portion for the reinforcement.
There is also a technical problem in being able to realize the significance of allowing a sheet belonging, a side-related edge portion assigned, a magnetic strip or the like to be adapted to be able to extend a distance over an adjacent sheet-related magnetic strip.
There is also a technical problem in being able to realize the significance of and the advantages associated with allowing said sheet to have a magnetic strip for the respective side-related edge portion and to have a rail or equivalent attached to the respective end-related edge portion so that the sheet consists of a separate collapsible and / or retractable unit.
There is also a technical problem in being able to realize the importance of allowing the lower edge portion of such a sheet to be provided with a rail or the like and to allow this rail to be shaped to be easily attachable to and easily removable from the base unit and / or the support. .
There is also a technical problem in being able to realize the significance of and the advantages associated with allowing said interaction, between a top and / or lower edge of a sheet belonging to a sheet or equivalent and said support or base unit, to be elastically designed.
There is also a technical problem in being able to create with simple measures such external shapes for utilized bases 517 860s, with enclosed winding arrangement for the sheet, that a first sheet, for a first display arrangement, can be brought into an edge interaction with a second sheet, for a second display arrangement.
It is also a technical problem to be able to realize the importance of and the advantages of allowing magnetic strips with cross-oriented magnetization or longitudinal magnetization and while using a thin steel strip, corresponding to the function of a magnetic strip, to create a sheet with a good and satisfactory rollability. and satisfactory edge-related vertical collaboration.
In addition, it should be seen as a technical problem to be able to realize the coordination required between cooperating magnetic strips or the cooperation required between a magnetic strip and an associated steel strip in order to still be able to offer an easily rollable and / or rollable sheet and with these edge stiffening measures a sufficiently good magnetic interaction with adjacent sheets, also provided with edge stiffening measures, such as magnetic strips or steel strips.
SOLUTION
The present invention is now based on a known folding and / or folding and folding and / or rolling-up display arrangement, with a base unit which can be placed against a base, a, an image and / or a text having a collapsible and roll-up sheet and a for holding the sheet in the base unit or corresponding adapted support, wherein a rail or the like arranged to one edge of the sheet is adapted to be able to cooperate with said support via holding means.
517 860
In order to be able to solve one or more of the above-mentioned technical problems, the present invention now provides that an upper and / or a lower edge portion of a selected edge for said sheet or a rail or the like related to said edge or the like must be adapted to be able to have and holding a permanent magnet and that the magnetization direction and / or magnetization directions of the magnet are chosen so that an attractive force will be able to act between said permanent magnet and a permanent magnet or equivalent belonging to an adjacent display arrangement.
As proposed embodiments, falling within the scope of the present invention, it is indicated that said rail should be assigned a shape to which said permanent magnet may be fixedly related.
It is further indicated that the permanent magnet should be able to be assigned a cylindrical shape, with preferably a circular cross-section, alternatively assigned a more irregular shape, such as a shape with a rectangular or square cross-section.
Furthermore, the invention directs that said rail or the like may be provided with one or more permanent magnets, associated misaligned end portions.
It is further indicated that a rail or the like arranged at the lower edge of the sheet should be able to have, at least for one end portion, a permanent magnet.
Said lower or similar rail shall advantageously be provided with one or more permanent magnets, associated misaligned end portions for the rail.
517 860
Ιζ Ο Ιζ.
The invention also indicates that the rail, especially the upper rail, should have a longitudinal reinforcement, to which the upper edge portion of the sheet can be attachable.
In particular, it is instructed that at least one edge portion, a side-related edge portion, of the sheet shall be provided with a thin permanently magnetized magnetic strip.
Said magnetic strip shall then be assigned a magnetizing direction and / or magnetizing directions so selected that an attractive force will act between said magnetic strip and a magnetic strip or equivalent belonging to a side-related edge portion for an adjacent display arrangement.
Said magnetic strips or the like shall be mutually oriented so that a side-oriented edge portion of a sheet will abut against, or be placed at a small distance from, a side-oriented edge portion of an adjacent sheet.
The invention directs in particular that the magnetic strip used should be thin, but still be able to offer a magnetic force suitable for the application and thereby be practically assigned a thickness of 0.4 - 1.5 mm, such as 0.4 - 0.6 mm.
Furthermore, the invention directs that a sheet-associated magnetic strip may be adapted to extend over an adjacent sheet-associated magnetic strip or the like.
In particular, the invention provides that said sheet should have a magnetic strip or equivalent for the respective, side-oriented edge portion and a rail for the respective, end-related edge portion and
517 860 then constitutes a separate roll-up and roll-up unit.
The lower edge of the sheet can then be provided with a rail which is attachable to the support or the base unit.
It is further indicated that said interaction between a rail belonging to an upper and / or lower edge of a sheet and said support or base unit shall be elastically designed.
The base unit can also be assigned a shape which enables two base units, with sheet-like winding arrangements, to be placed close to each other and with side-oriented edge portions of the sheets connecting very close to each other.
Furthermore, various measures are instructed for coordinating magnetic strips and steel strips for the edge portions of the sheets.
BENEFITS
The advantages which can mainly be considered to be characteristic of a collapsible and foldable display arrangement, in accordance with the present invention, is that this has created conditions for being able to produce a display arrangement where conditions have been created for being able to have a sheet, attached to a first display arrangement, that edge to edge can cooperate with an adjacent sheet, belonging to an adjacent second display arrangement.
In addition, conditions have been created for being able in a simple manner to have a rail or the like arranged at the upper edge of the sheet, belonging to a first display arrangement, to be able to align with magnetic attraction with a rail or the like arranged to the upper edge of a sheet, to 517 860 a second display arrangement, in order thereby to considerably facilitate the orientation of adjacent display arrangements, even when said upper rails or the like are located outside (above) a person's reach when he / she is standing on a base for the base unit.
The use of magnetic strips and / or steel strips for the side-related and opposite edge portions of adjacent sheets also offers the possibility of exposing an image, extending over a plurality of display arrangements, without visible border.
What can primarily be considered to be characteristic of a collapsible and foldable display arrangement, in accordance with the present invention, is stated in the characterizing part of the appended claim 1.

Figure 5 thus shows the basic parts for a folding and folding display arrangement, during the use of a base unit 2 which can be placed against a substrate 1 and a sheet 4 (not shown in figure 5) and a support 3 adapted for the sheet 4 to be stiffened and held.
The support 3 here consists of a selected number, such as three (3) mutually cooperable parts 3b, 3c, 3d and which parts are collapsible in a manner previously known per se by an elastic line extending through the parts 3b, 3c and 3d and which line offers an opportunity to separate the parts and fold them into a parallel orientation.
The length of each of the parts 3b, 3c and 3d is adapted to the length of the base unit 2.
It is important for the present invention that a top part 3a is provided with a holding means 3e for cooperating with the sheet 4 and a means 5a in its upper edge portion 4a.
Referring to Figure 6, there is shown in perspective a partially rolled-up sheet 4. The sheet 4 consists of a separate unit with an image surface 4 ', on which an image and / or a text is formed. The sheet 4 is collapsible and retractable, where the image and text surface 4 'is applied and distributed to only the single surface 4'.
The upper edge portion 4a of the sheet 4 cooperates with a rail 5 or equivalent, according to Figure 9, and the lower edge portion 4b of the sheet cooperates with a rail 6 or equivalent, according to Figure 9.
517 860
The rails 5 and 6 can advantageously have the same profile cross section and formed of aluminum or alloys thereof.
Figure 7 is intended to illustrate schematically that the support 3 should advantageously be folded to an angled position 3 'and where the base part 2 is also angled to a corresponding degree, in order to attach to the holding means 3e a holding means 5a related to the rail 5 and let a person P hold the otherwise rolled-up sheet 4 in its arms.
Thereafter, the orientation of the support 3 'is brought to the position shown in Figure 5, which is also illustrated in Figure 8, and thereby the sheet 4 of the dead weight is dropped along the support 3 and towards the base unit 2, so that the lower edge portion 4b of the sheet 4 and the rail 6, in the manner shown in Fig. 9, can be attached to the base unit 2, for example by a groove 2a oriented in the base unit 2.
Figure 10 illustrates that the upper edge portion 4a of the sheet 4 with the rail 5 and the fastening means 5a cooperate with the holding means 3e and that the means 5a alternatively the means 3e are elastic, in order thereby to be able to stretch the sheet 4 by a pulling force directed from the base unit 2.
There is nothing to prevent the lower edge portion of the sheet from interacting with the same or other elastic means.
Figure 11 illustrates that at least one end portion 51 of said rail 5 is adapted to be able to have a permanent magnet 7.
The direction of magnetization or directions of magnetization are in
517 860
ZU here so selected that an attractive force will act between said permanent magnet 7 and a second permanent magnet 7a 'belonging to a second, an adjacent, display arrangement B. (See figure 13).
The rail 5 is assigned a surface to which the permanent magnet 7 can be attached in a manner known per se and using means known per se.
Here it is illustrated that said rail 5 should be assigned a longitudinal hole 52, in which said permanent magnet 7 is fixedly related.
Utilized permanent magnets can have different shapes and different cross-sections and Figure 11 illustrates that the permanent magnet 7 is assigned a cylindrical shape, with a circular cross-section.
Figure 12 illustrates that a permanent magnet 7 may be assigned a more irregular shape and more specifically assigned a rectangular or square cross section.
It is obvious that other embodiments in terms of length and cross section also fall within the scope of the invention.
The exemplary embodiments of the permanent magnets 7 in FIG. 11 and 12 is intended to illustrate that, in addition to the usual attractive force with the same bending resistance in all directions (x-, y- and z-directions) between two permanent magnets or a permanent magnet and an iron part, such as a magnetizable steel part, which comes with a circular cylindrical permanent magnet, according to figure 11, the bending resistance must be able to be adapted differently in different directions by choosing different cross-sectional shapes for the permanent magnet or the steel part.

-in
Referring to Figure 12, it is conceivable that the edges and 71 are selected with greater attractive magnetic force than the edges 72 and 73. The edges 72 and 73 are reinforced in their bending resistance by the action of utilized edge-related magnetic strips, so that in the x- / y-plane a significantly higher bending resistance occurs than in the x- / z-plane. A measure to increase the bending resistance in the x- / z-plane may therefore be desirable in certain applications.
This can be realized with one or more permanent magnetizing magnets.
In particular, it is indicated that said rail 5 can advantageously be provided with one or more permanent magnets 7, 7a, associated misaligned end portions 51, 53 for said rail.
Thus, Figure 10 indicates that a first permanent magnet 7, or a first set of permanent magnets, is oriented to the right part or end portion 51 of the rail 5 while a second permanent magnet 7a, or a second set of permanent magnets, of identical or similar shape, but with a complementary magnetization for attractive forces are assigned to the left edge portion or end portion 53 of the rail 5.
Figure 8 is also intended to illustrate that a rail 6 arranged to the lower edge portion 4b of the sheet 4 should also be able to have, at least at its one end portion 61, a permanent magnet 8.
Said rail 6 is further provided with one or more permanent magnets 8, 8a belonging to the aligned end portions 61, 63 of said rail 6.
517 860
- Ζ.Ζ. What has previously been described with reference to Figures and 12 and the permanent magnets 7 and 7a should also be applicable to the permanent magnets 8 and 8a, however, normally for the lower permanent magnets the requirement for high bending resistance in the x- / z-plane can be reduced.
Permanent magnets used here should advantageously be so-called super magnets, with high attractiveness under a small amount of material.
With reference to Figure 11, it is further shown that the rail 5 (and thus also the rail 6) must be able to have a longitudinal reinforcement 54, (64), to which the upper edge portion 4a (or lower edge portion 4b) of the sheet 4 is attachable.
This longitudinal reinforcement 54 can advantageously end at the reference numeral 54 ', the magnetic strip 41 or the like being extending up towards the lower edge 5' 'of the rail 5.
The attachment can advantageously take place via one or more adhesive layers, one on the reinforcement 54 and possibly one on the edge portion 4a.
In any case, an edge portion, a side-related edge portion, for the sheet 4, designated 4c, is provided with a permanently magnetized magnetic strip 41.
A detached edge portion, a side-related edge portion, for the sheet 4, designated 4d, is provided with a permanently magnetized magnetic strip 42.
517 860
- 23 The permanently magnetized magnetic strips 41 and 42 are placed on the back sheet 4 so as not to encroach on the image surface 4 '.
Figure 13 is intended to illustrate how two display arrangements A and B are to be oriented before being brought together to form a display arrangement set, oriented according to Figure 14, and with an image extending over two such display sets A and B with the sub-sections 4 'and 40'.
Referring to Figure 13, it is seen that the display arrangement B is to be displaced towards the display arrangement A with sheets 4 and 40.
Upon an initial displacement, the permanent magnets 7, 7a '(and 8, 8a') attract each other and orient the rails 5, 5 'in a line L with each other. A further displacement will then be possible in the direction of the line L, possibly after adjusting the base units 2, 2 'towards the line L, until the permanent magnets 7, 7a' (and 8, 8a ') are in a fully attracted position.
The magnetic strip 41 attracts the magnetic strip 42 'in a suitably precise position, determined by the position and polarity of the magnetic strips in selected sections.
Said magnetic strips 41, 42 'are mutually oriented so that an edge of a side-oriented edge portion 4c of a sheet 4 will abut against or be placed at a small distance from an edge of a side-oriented edge portion 4d' of an adjacent sheet 40, which in more detail shown from figure
14.
517 860
- 24 The magnetic strip 41 and also the other magnetic strips must be thin and in the practical embodiment they can be assigned a thickness of approx. 0.5 mm.
It should be noted here that an attractive interaction between two magnetic strips can just as well be offered between a permanently magnetized strip and a steel strip or equivalent magnetizable strip. Thus, it becomes obvious that a magnetic strip can very well be replaced by a steel strip, which can then be 0.1 - 0.4 mm thick, say in practice about 0.2 mm thick and with a width corresponding to the width of a magnetic strip or slightly narrower.
The choice of thickness depends on e.g. the stiffness of the magnetic strip during bending, the stiffness of the sheet material during bending, e.g. selected radius of curvature, permissible deformation, selected attractiveness of one magnetic strip to another magnetic strip and of course in the case where a magnetic strip is replaced by a thinner steel strip.
A sheet-associated magnetic strip 41 may also be arranged to extend over an adjacent sheet-associated magnetic strip.
Said sheet 4, as described above, has a magnetic strip 41, 42 (or steel strip) for the respective side-oriented edge portion 4c, 4d and a rail 5, 6 for the respective edge-related edge portion 4a and 4b, and thereby constitutes a separately collapsible and retractable unit.
There is nothing to prevent the lower edge portion 4b of the sheet 4 from being provided with a rail 6 and thereby allowing this rail to be fastened in the base unit 2 and / or the support 3 and especially in a groove 2a formed in the base unit 2 next to the support 3.
There is nothing to prevent the lower edge portion 4b of the sheet 4 from being attachable to a sheet winding and winding arrangement.
Z3 mang 20, as shown in Figures 16, 17 and 18.
Figure 15 shows in sections A, B and C different cross-sectional shapes of magnetic strips for allowing an edge portion 4c with a magnetic strip 41 to cooperate with an edge portion 4d 'with a magnetic strip 42'.
Figure 15 shows the position position according to figure 13.
The magnetic strips 41 and 42 'in section A are identical in shape and consist of a cross-magnetized strip or strip, with an adhesive surface, abutable against the sheet 4 and the edge portion 4c, respectively, the sheet 40 and the edge portion 4d'. Thus, edge surfaces facing each other are magnetized with opposite polarity and when these edge surfaces are brought to a position close to each other, they are attracted to each other.
The thinner the magnetic strip, the better the rolling ability of the sheet, when the scroll is selected with the magnetic strips peripherally or edge-related oriented.
In section A, the edge-related end surfaces of the magnetic strips are assigned different magnetizations or polarities, thereby forming right and left sides for a cooperation with opposite sides for an adjacent display arrangement.
Section B illustrates a magnetic strip shape with an edge-related thinner 411 and a magnetic strip shape with a recess 421 '. For this embodiment it is suitable with a longitudinal magnetization so that the two magnetic strips can cooperate with each other with an unambiguous orientation with the edge portions for adjacent display arrangements connecting to each other.
517 860
- 26 Here, the thinning and the recess have been assigned different and complementary magnetisations, thereby forming right and left sides in the same way as in section A.
Section C illustrates a magnetic strip shape where a further simple magnetic strip shape 412 is an improved magnetic strip producing magnetic strip.
Here, too, it is a question of a transverse magnetization of the magnetic strips 412 and 414, with a cooperation according to Figure 15B.
The portion 413 represents an adhesive layer, a foam strip or other thin agent, (The thickness is shown exaggerated in the figure).
The magnetic interaction between permanently magnetized strips or between a magnetic strip and a steel strip will be described in more detail with reference to Figures 21 and 22,
Figure 16 shows in perspective view a display arrangement, where the sheet 4 is wound on a rolling device 20 inside the base unit
2.
In order to make the display arrangements A and B and the sheets 4 and 40 so close that the edges 4c and 4d 'can connect to each other and be held by a magnetic force, hook-shaped end portions for the base unit 2 and 2' are required (according to Figure 18), so that the axes of rotation can overlap each other by being laterally offset.
It should be noted that this arrangement requires that the image surface be formed on opposite surfaces, the front surface for one and the rear surface for one
517 860 second display arrangement.
Figure 19 shows in perspective view an embodiment where a sheet 4 is supported by cross-oriented support pins 3 attached to and / or passing through corner-related eyelets. The rails 5, 6 are here replaced by a clamping force from the support pins and magnets 7a, 7; 8a, 8 are attached to the sheet 4 next to the eyelets, as Figure 20 shows.
Referring to Figure 21, there is shown an embodiment in which one edge portion 4d 'is provided with a magnetic strip 42' and in which it has a cross-oriented magnetization direction, designated N resp. S.
This magnetic strip can now cooperate with a magnetic strip 412 'in an unambiguous way. A magnetic strip attached to an adjacent display arrangement can also co-operate with this magnetic strip 412 'and this co-operation is in line with those which are to operate according to the principles of the invention. The magnetic strip 412 'can here consist of a separate unit.
With reference to Figure 22, it is shown that a magnetic strip 42 'can be assigned a much smaller thickness than that in Figure 21 and that this should cooperate with a steel strip 222.
This steel strip could be applied to the edge portions of the sheets and act with magnetic attraction against a magnetic strip 412 'according to Figure 21.
With cross-oriented magnetization and with decreasing thickness, it is to be expected that the distance between equal-pole magnetization lines decreases. Prior art indicates that the thickness / excitation width ratio of a pole must have for 517 860
The ratio is 1: 2, but with very thin magnetic strips a ratio indicated for the invention should be between 1:15 to 1: 4, such as about 1: 6.
The use of two steel strips for the edges belonging to the edges means that the curling can have an even smaller radius of curvature. Such an embodiment indicates that adjacent sheets will have two edge-related magnetic strips probably with a slightly larger radius of curvature. The thickness of the steel strip can be between 0.1 to 0.3 mm, such as 0.25 mm.
The width of a magnetizing line should be chosen between 2 and 5 mm, preferably about 3 mm.
The invention is of course not limited to the above-mentioned exemplary embodiment, but may undergo modifications within the scope of the inventive concept illustrated in the appended claims.
