DESCRIPTION
Siphon, mainly in the form of drainage channel for showers
The invention relates to a bath siphon, mainly in the form of a shower drain rail, with a frame and a holder applicable above the frame, where the frame and the outer edge of the holder form an inlet slot, preferably one that is surrounding.
DE 20 2005 004 087 IU has already presented a siphon of the kind with an open topping for a cover. The cover is movably placed in the seat to form a surrounding inlet groove between the upper edge of the seat and the outer edge of the cover. The cover has a bottom and a surrounding edge in the form of a thin vertical frame, which together with the bottom define a recess for inserting a floor cut of choice. In DE 20 2005 004 087 IU there are examples of floor cutouts which can be inserted into the recess, such as concrete tile material, linoleum and cork, carpet, a lacy cutout as well as a plastic layer cutout. The floor cutout is directly surrounded by the frame type edge.
This known siphon allows, unlike conventional siphons with a metal drain grille, an optical adaptation to the floor in the environment, so that the siphon or its cover does not aesthetically interfere with the floor. However, the precise cutting of a tile or other floor to place the cutout in the recess of the roof requires high craftsmanship which is often only achieved after several attempts. This well-known floor can be further improved in hygienic aspects.
The present invention is intended to provide a siphon of the initially mentioned type, which saves the tiler the labor of adapting a tile or other floor to a recess of a siphon cover, and which allows a hygienically effective surface to be installed instead of metal drain grille in a bathroom to accentuate the aesthetics.
This object is achieved by a siphon having the characteristics set forth in claim 1.
The siphon according to the invention comprises a frame and a support that can be inserted over the frame, the frame and the outer edge of the support forming an inlet slot. The support has a glass plate on top of which the outer edge is ground or rounded. The outer edge of the glass plate joins the outer edge of the support, which is underneath or overlaps with it. The glass plate and frame form an upper inlet groove to which the inlet groove formed by the frame and the outer edge of the bracket are joined.
The siphon according to the invention thus does not have an edge with an additional thin frame in the sense of DE 20 2005 004 087 IU. The upper, preferably surrounding, inlet slot is directly defined by the ground or rounded outer edge of the glass plate and the inner side of the frame. The siphon according to the invention is therefore characterized by an easy to clean and material-efficient cover. Since the support as a cover has no additional frame as a rim, it is instead made up of e.g. a flat support plate does not appear dirty joints or corners, which otherwise exist between the edge and the glass plate. The glass plate is provided as a pre-made cut to the siphon according to the invention and has a hygienically optimized surface. The glass pane is preferably made of safety glass and may, depending on the version, be impregnated, colored and / or unpolished on the back. No need to cut the glass plate on site.
Conventional shower siphons or gutters feature a metal drain grille, which is usually stainless steel. In contrast, the siphon glass plate according to the invention presents an optical alternative, which gives the siphon an extraordinary aesthetic accent. Depending on the version of the glass plate and the surrounding floor, a harmonious insertion into the floor can also be achieved as the inlet slot (s) do not dominate the exterior appearance of the siphon in accordance with invention.
A preferred version of the siphon according to the invention is that the glass plate has at least an unpolished, i.e. rough, surface on its upper side. This is not only useful for providing slip protection, but it can also be aesthetically useful to cover the view of the bracket underneath.
Another preferred version of the siphon according to the invention is that the frame has at least one crossbar within the upper edge of the frame which supports the support, the crossbar having several spacers on its upper side, on which the holder rests in the assembled state, and the holder on its underside having recesses associated with the spacers, in which the spacers engage in the assembled state of the holder. This ensures a secure flow of water underneath the support for a flow pipe on the one hand and, on the other hand, a defined and secure position against displacement of the support and the associated glass plate relative to the frame, mainly an essentially constant width of a surrounding inlet slot.
The siphon according to the invention may consist of a substantially square glass plate in a relatively compact manner. The siphon according to the invention may, however, also be constituted as a usual shower drain rail for making a floor-level shower.
In the case of a usual shower runner, the bracket is preferably formed of a cross-section U-type bracket profile, whose legs point downward in the assembled state of the bracket profile.
To ensure a definite position against unintentional displacement of the profile of the support with the glass plate relative to the frame and, consequently, an essentially constant width of a surrounding inlet slot, spacers on the front sides may be provided in another preferred embodiment of the invention. the legs of the support profile, which are spaced apart from the upper side of the support profile and face inwardly of the frame.
According to another preferred embodiment of the invention it is envisaged to place the frame in a gutter base body with a surrounding flange, wherein the upper edge in the assembled state protrudes upwardly from the upper side of the flange.
In addition and according to another preferred embodiment, it is proposed that the support and frame be housed at the bottom of the gutter base body by means of spacers, preferably common spacers. Through these separators, which are available to installers at different heights or which can be supplied with the siphon according to the invention, it is possible to easily adapt the upper side of the glass plate to the thickness of the tiles around the siphon to so that the glass plate is level with the tiled surface.
Assembly is easy and the housing of the frame and bracket (bracket profile) will not swing if, according to another version, the frame has concavities associated with the tabs on its underside, where it engages an effective mechanical fastener formed in the respective tab. .
There is still another version, whereby the adaptation of the glass plate level to tiles of different thickness is facilitated by the fact that the support rests by means of height-adjustable tabs on the bottom of the gutter base body.
Other advantageous and preferred versions of the siphon according to the invention are set forth in the subclaims.
We now explain the invention in detail through a drawing with various implementation examples. Namely:

The siphon shown in Figures 1 to 4 is mainly intended for the construction of a floor-level shower. It is integrated into the siphon, for example on the floor.
The siphon comprises a frame 1 and a bracket 2 which can be inserted into the frame above, wherein the external dimensions of the frame 1 correspond to a typical brick shape (e.g. 10 cm x 10 cm or 15 cm x 15 cm ). In the example shown, frame 1 has an essentially square shape and is made of metal or plastic.
The frame 1 has a cross member 1.1 away from the upper edge 1.2 of the frame supporting the support 2. On the upper side, the cross member 1.1 has four truncated conical spacers 1.3 on which the support 2 rests. It is here designed as a flat support plate. The spacers 1.3 are near the inner corners of the frame 1. The plate-shaped bracket 2 has undersides on its underside 2.1 associated with the spacers 1.3, where they engage in the assembled state of the bracket 2. The spacers 1.3 ensure a safe flow of water under the bracket 2.
In crossbar 1.1 is formed a downwardly pointing flow pipe 1.4. The drainage pipe 1.4 has an annular shape and, in assembled state, is fitted into a T-flow connector 3. A resilient surrounding sealing lip 3.1 is molded thereon, which is sealed to the outside of the drainage pipe. 1.4. On the facing surface of the T-flow connector 3 are a series of surrounding ribs 3.2 which are uniformly spaced from each other and guide a saw or other cutting tool to cut the T-flow connector.
The frame 1 and the outer edge of the plate-like bracket 2 form a surrounding inlet slot 4. In the plate-like bracket 2 is a glass plate 5 whose outer edge is ground or rounded. The glass plate 5 is attached to the support 2 by a molecular fixation bonding process. Alternatively, there is also the possibility of connecting the glass plate 5 to the support 2 by effective mechanical fastening, provided for this purpose on the upper side of the support 2 and on the lower side of the glass plate 5 effective mechanical fasteners associated with each other. to others as p. ex. small holes and elevations that engage them. However, it is preferred when the glass plate 5 is glued to the upper side of the plate type support 2.
The glass plate 5 is made of safety glass, as for example. ex. in foil laminated glass. It is a surface-treated glass plate 5, e.g. ex. a glass plate treated with a corrosive or sandblasting agent on the top and / or bottom side. It may also be a colored glass plate 5, such as impregnated or with a colored back glue.
The glass plate 5 is sized so that its outer edge joins the outer edge of the holder or as in Fig. 4 - slightly overlaps the outer edge of the holder 2. Anyway, the glass plate 5 is dimensioned so that it and the frame 1 form an upper inlet groove 6, to which the inlet groove 4 formed by frame 1 and the outer edge of the holder directly connect.
Plate type 2 bracket is made of stainless steel, light metal or plastic. Plywood made of bracket 2 and glass plate 5 is a prefabricated component which does not have to be worked by the siphon installer. The upper side of the glass plate 5 joins the outer edge 1.2 of frame 1. Tiles F can be seated up to frame 1 of the siphon.
Figures 5 to 9 show another example of carrying out a siphon according to the invention. The siphon here is in the form of a so-called shower drain rail, wherein the support 2 'is formed by a cross-section U-type support profile, whose legs 2.2 point downwards in the assembled state.
The frame 1 'is inserted into a rail-like base body 7 with a surrounding flange 7.1, wherein the outer edge 1.2 of frame 1' protrudes upwardly from the upper side of the flange 7.1. The base body 7 is equipped with a drainage pipe 7.2. The frame 1 'and base body 7 limit a surrounding slit, which is sealed by a surrounding seal 8 of rubber or similar material. The tile or natural stone floor F is laid overlapping next to flange 7.1 to near frame 1 '. In the joint between the tile floor and the frame 1 ', a permanently elastic joint material 9 is placed above the fence 8.
The support (support profile) 2 'and the frame 1' are housed through common spacers 10, 10 'at the bottom of the trough base body 7, the bottom of the base body 7 inclined to the bottom. drainage pipe 7.2.
The respective separator 10, 10 'has a groove 10.1, where the frame 1' can be placed through an effective mechanical fixation. As can be seen from Fig. 7, the frame 1 'has on its underside recesses 1.5 associated with the spacers 10, 10', where it engages an effective mechanical fastener 10.2 formed in the respective spacer 10, 10 '. In addition, the respective separator 10, 10 'has a section 10.3 as the downwardly facing leg support surface 2.2 of the support profile 2'.
Moreover, it can be seen from Fig. 6 that the support profile 2 'has, on the front parts of the two legs 2.2, spacers 2.3 spaced from the upper side of the support profile 2' and facing the inside of the frame 1 ', namely its shorter transverse sides.
The separators 10, 10 'are differently constituted. While the tabs 10 shown in Fig. 8, ie those near the outer transverse sides of the frame 1 ', have an essentially horizontal underside (base), the underside (base) of the middle tabs 10' shown in Fig. 9 is formed obliquely according to the bottom in the central section of the gutter base body 7.
The tabs 10, 10 'are adjacent to the tapered areas of the gutter base body 7. Also the legs 2.2 of the support profile 2' are next to the tabs 10.3 of the tabs 10, 10 'so as to defining the position of spacers 10, 10 ', frame 1' and support profile 2 'between them and with respect to base body 7, excluding unwanted relative deviations of these components in the assembled state.
On the upper side of the support profile 2 'is in turn glued a glass plate 5' which, despite its oblong and essentially rectangular shape, is constituted according to the exemplary embodiment described in Figures 1a.
Fig. 10 shows another example of carrying out a shower runner in accordance with the invention. This example of execution differs from that described above with respect to the constitution of the tabs. It can be seen from the outset that the tabs 10 equipped with slots 10.1, in which the longitudinal sections of the frame 1 'are fitted with an effective mechanical fixation, do not have lugs such as leg rests 2.2 which point downwards from the profile. support 2 '. The support profile 2 'has height adjustable tabs 2.4 and is housed therethrough in the bottom of the rail-shaped base body 7 (supported). The outer sides of the legs 2.2 of the support profile 2 'are close to the tabs 10 to define the position of the support profile 2'.
The invention is not limited in its version to those described above.
