p0001The invention relates to a floor drain for wet areas, especially in the form of a shower drain, with a frame and the frame can be inserted from the top carrier, wherein the frame and the outer edge of the carrier an inlet slot, preferably form a peripheral inlet slot.
p0002From the <patcit id="pcit0001" dnum="DE202005004087U1"><text>DE 20 2005 004 087 U1</text></patcit> is a generic floor drain is known which has an upwardly open seat for a cover. The cover is removably inserted in the seat, in such a way that a circumferential inlet slot between the upper edge of the seat and the outer edge of the cover is formed. The cover has a bottom and a peripheral skirt in the form of a thin, vertically standing frame, wherein the frame defines with the bottom a recess for insertion of a freely selectable floor covering blank. As examples of the usable in the recess floor covering blank are in the<patcit id="pcit0002" dnum="DE202005004087U1"><text>DE 20 2005 004 087 U1</text></patcit> concrete tile, linoleum and cork, carpeting, a lacquered blank and a layer comprising a plastic blank Direction called. The floorcovering blank is thereby gripped directly by the frame-like enclosure.
p0003Although this known floor drain allows compared to conventional floor drains with a metallic drain grating optical adaptation to the flooring around, so that the floor drain or its cover not disturbing stands opposite the flooring around. However, the tailor cutting a tile or other floor covering for insertion of the blank into the recess of the cover requires a relatively high level of skill and succeed often only after several attempts. Further, this known floor drain in terms of hygiene appears to be even more improved.
p0004The present invention has for its object to provide a floor drain of the aforementioned type, which saves the tilers the tedious customize a tile or other floor covering in a recess of a cover of the floor drain, and also offers the possibility of a perfect hygienic point surface instead of a metal drain grate to be installed in a bathroom, to make a creative statement in the bathroom.
p0005This object is achieved by a floor drain having the features specified in claim. 1
p0006The floor drain according to the invention comprises a frame and a frame insertable into the top carrier, wherein the frame and the outer edge of the support form an inlet slot. The carrier is the upper surface with a glass plate, sanded the outer edge or rounded. The outer edge of the glass plate is flush with the outer edge of the underlying carrier or overlooked this side. The glass plate and the frame thereby form an upper inlet slot, which is followed by the inlet slot formed by the frame and the outer edge of the carrier.
p0007The floor drain according to the invention therefore does not mount with an extra thin frame for the purposes of <patcit id="pcit0003" dnum="DE202005004087U1"><text>DE 20 2005 004 087 U1</text></patcit> on. The upper, preferably circumferential inlet slot is defined directly by the ground or rounded outer edge of the glass plate and the inside of the frame. The floor drain according to the invention is thus characterized by an easy-to-clean and material-saving cover. Since the carrier has a cover no additional frame as a border, but for example, consists of a flat base plate, there are no dirty edges or joints where impurities that would exist between the rim and the glass plate otherwise. The glass plate is delivered as a prefabricated blank for the floor drain according to the invention and represents an optimum in hygiene aspect surface. The glass plate is preferably made of glass and can dyed depending on the version, the back color coated and / or matted. A cutting of the glass plate on the site is not required.
p0008Conventional floor drains or shower channels have a metal drain cover, which is usually made of stainless steel. In contrast, the glass plate of the floor drain according to the invention is an optical alternative that allows design problems an extraordinary accentuation of the floor drain. Nevertheless, it can be achieved depending on the design of the glass plate and the surrounding flooring a harmonious integration into the flooring, since the inlet slot or the inlet slots not dominate the appearance of the floor drain according to the invention.
p0009A preferred embodiment of the floor drain according to the invention is that the glass plate at least on the upper side has a matt, ie roughened surface. This is useful not only for achieving adequate slip resistance, but may also be desirable from a visual standpoint, to obscure a view of the underlying substrate.
p0010A further preferred embodiment of the floor drain according to the invention is characterized in that the frame has on the inside at least one web which is spaced from the upper edge of the frame and serves as a support for the carrier, said web having a plurality of spacers on its upper side, on which the carrier rests in the assembled state, and wherein the carrier on its underside, the spacers associated recesses, in which engage the spacers in the assembled state of the carrier. It can be ensured on the one hand a reliable water flow below the carrier to a discharge nozzle and on the other hand a defined unreceptive to displacement position of the carrier and the associated glass plate with respect to the frame, in particular a substantially constant width of a circumferential inlet slot.
p0011The floor drain according to the invention can be performed with a substantially square glass plate relatively compact. Likewise, the floor drain according to the invention can also be embodied as elongated shower channel for producing a floor-level shower.
p0012In the case of an elongated shower channel, the carrier is preferably formed of a cross-sectionally U-shaped support profile, have the legs in the assembled state of the carrier section downwards.
p0013By a fixed against unintentional displacement position of the support rail with the glass plate in relation to the frame and thereby to ensure a substantially constant width of a circumferential inlet slot may be provided on the front sides of the legs of the carrier profile spacer according to a further embodiment of the invention, the distance from the top side of the carrier profile are arranged and facing the inside of the frame.
p0014According to a further advantageous refinement, it is provided that the frame is inserted into a channel-shaped base body having a circumferential flange, wherein the upper edge of the frame in the mounted state against the top of the flange protruding upward.
p0015In addition, it is proposed according to a further advantageous embodiment, the support and the frame via spacers, preferably are mounted on the bottom of the trough-shaped base body on common spacers. By means of such spacers offered the installer in different height versions and the floor drain according to the invention can be enclosed, can be the upper surface of the glass plate in a simple manner to the strength (thickness) of adjusting the floor drain surrounding tiles so that the glass plate flush with the surface for tiling lies.
p0016For simple installation and kippelfreie storage of the frame and the support (support profile), it is advantageous if in accordance with another embodiment of the frame on its underside having spacers associated recesses, engages in each one formed on each spacer interlocking element.
p0017A simple adjustability of the level of the glass plate to differently thick tiles, according to another embodiment achieved in that the carrier is mounted on the bottom of the channel-shaped base body via height-adjustable spacers.
p0018Further advantageous and preferred embodiments of the floor drain according to the invention are specified in the dependent claims.
