[0001] The invention relates to an orthosis with a formally stable motherboard adjacent to the body of the orthosis user.
[0002] Such orthoses are known in various embodiments. As a motherboard, any plate that adheres to the body of the orthosis user can be used with the appropriate fastening members. In one embodiment, the abdominal motherboard is located in the waist area, and in this area of the waist a fastening strap surrounds the body. At the back, a rear support is provided, which is surrounded by a fastening strap, or is provided with fastening members for the respective ends of the fastening strap, so that the fastening strap surrounds the body together with the rear support.
[0003] The main field of application of such an orthosis is a hyperextension orthosis in which at least one support peloton stably connected to the main plate reaches upwards and / or downwards, i.e. upwards and / or downwards. To create a complete hyperextension orthosis with posterior pelottes, the upper bridge of the sternum and the lower pubic symphysis pelota work together in the abdominal area, creating together a three-point spine support. The motherboard essentially acts as a fastening member for the fastening strap and for both abdominal pelottes. This type of hyperextension brace is known for example from DE 39 28 628 C1. Such orthoses are supplied in various sizes to allow the orthosis to fit the circumference of the body and conveniently position the orthosis on the user's body due to different size motherboards. If the motherboard is too small, the fastening straps would cut too strongly into the skin of the user of the orthosis, while too large the motherboard could cause insecure seating of the orthosis on the body. In known orthoses, the motherboard, as well as the pelottes, are made of metal with a facing. Therefore, for the preparation of orthoses of different sizes, motherboards of different sizes must be kept in stock.
[0004] From US 4,976,257 a hyperextension orthosis is known in which the motherboard connects to the sternum pelottis and the pubic symphysis peloton by means of vertical arms. The motherboard is made of a flat hard plastic placed on the outside, which is connected to the cladding layer on the body side. In the area of the bridge pelotte, the mainboard can be provided with a fixing hole, through which a separate cladding plate can be attached, which acts as a bridge pelotte. The cladding plate is not an extension of the motherboard, but is attached to the motherboard in an offset position relative to the body. The cladding element serves as the only contact surface of the bridge pad to the body of the orthosis user.
[0005] The object of the present invention is to provide an orthosis easier to handle manually and providing better storage conditions. [0006] This task is solved according to the invention regarding the orthosis of the type mentioned above due to the fact that the motherboard has at least on one of its sides a protrusion with a fastening member, with the use of which a protruding extension plate is mounted on the protrusion, which extends the protrusion rigid connections of the motherboard to the extension part.
[0007] In an orthosis according to the invention, the motherboard can therefore be enlarged by applying extension parts, such that depending on whether no extension part is placed on the motherboard, or whether one, two or three extension parts are arranged, it is possible to fit the plate to the shape of the body or to the currently performed function of the orthosis, but then no separate motherboards of different sizes are needed. If the motherboard is provided, for example on its width, from both sides with ends of the surrounding body, with adjustable length, a fastening strap, then the extension parts due to the widening of the motherboard are used to fit the orthosis to the body circumference. The connection made according to the invention between the motherboard and the applied extension parts is form-stable and the pulling force of the fastening strip contrasts with the required shape stability, preventing the fastening belt from being pressed too deeply into the patient's skin.
[0008] To create many different final sizes of the motherboard, it is expedient if the extension part on its free edge is provided with a fixing member for form-fitting connection with a further shape-stable extension part for enlarging the motherboard. In this way, it is possible to implement the mentioned multiple gradual enlargements of the motherboard.
In a purposeful embodiment of the invention, the attachment member comprises a protrusion with a stepped recess, and an embedded extension part contacts the stepped recess with a corresponding stepped recess, creating a partially flat contact between the protrusion and the extension part, wherein the stop of the extension part adjoins the protrusion limiter. In this way, a very stable form connection is enabled, which creates a rigid joint due to the flat contact of the extension part to the projection of the motherboard. The rigidity of the joint is not disturbed by the fact that the joint between the motherboard and the extension part and / or between the extension parts used to fit the orthosis to the user's body can tilt by a limited angle, or that the extension parts have a certain flexibility such that for example pulling strap fastening elements of the orthosis can be pulled to the body of the orthosis wearer, and at the same time deformation puts enough resistance, so that they are not pressed firmly into the user's skin.
[0010] Preferably, after the extension part has been mounted, the locking pin positioned perpendicularly in the region of the flat abutment enters the corresponding hole, forming a form-fitting connection over the entire width. In this case, it is expedient if the locking pin arranged perpendicularly in the area of flat adhesion can be inserted into the hole by tilting the extension part relative to the projection of the motherboard, whereby the locking pin can then be snapped into the hole. In this way, a stable connection is created, which can be accomplished by simply applying and snapping the extension part onto the corresponding projection of the motherboard, or on an already mounted extension part.
[0011] To form the orthosis, the motherboard is completed, in particular in a vertical direction, with at least one superimposed domed part.
It is preferred to use the present orthosis as a hyperextension with a sternum or pubic symphysis peloton. Advantageously, attached to the motherboard with both the bridge pelvic support and the pubic symphysis pelotte can be moved in a vertical direction relative to the mainboard. For this purpose, a guide part made of two pipes is provided, which with its U-like end is attached to the pelota material. The vertical displacement of the pelottes is made by moving the pelottes, and its location thanks to the appropriate fastening elements of the motherboard.
[0012] Various support plates lying flat against the body of the orthosis user may be used as enlarged by extension parts of the motherboard, in particular also the posterior back support of the hyperextension orthosis. In a preferred embodiment, it can also be expanded in width by means of extension parts. It can, however, have a different height when extensions from above are applied from above with a width equal to the width of the rear pelottes, to increase the length of the rear pelottes in the vertical direction and implement a spine support having a different length.
[0013] The orthosis according to the invention is preferably equipped with a motherboard which is made entirely of plastic by injection molding. Correspondingly, the extension parts are also uniform parts made of plastic by injection molding, in particular without metal reinforcements.
[0014] The invention will be explained in more detail below with reference to an embodiment shown in the drawing. In this figure they show:
Fig. 1 a view of the first embodiment of the orthosis according to the invention in the form of a hyperextension orthosis, fig. 2 a perspective view of the motherboard and the extension part not attached thereto, fig. 3 the view as in fig. 2, with the extension part which has been tilted for mounting with reference to the main board, fig. 4, perspective view of the body closer to the surface of the parts according to fig. 3, fig. 5 of the parts according to fig. 3, during the assembly operation, fig. 6 parts according to fig. 5, in the assembled state, Fig. 7 a view of a second embodiment of the orthosis according to the invention having the form of a hyperextension orthosis, and Fig. 8 a view of a third embodiment of the orthosis according to the invention having the form of a hyperextension orthosis.
[0015] The perspective view of the hyperextension orthosis shown in Fig. 1 shows the abdominal motherboard 1 with which the pelota 2 of the sternum joins upwards and the pubic symphysis pelota 3 joins downwards. The vertical position of the bridge padding 2 is adjustable in such a way that the bridge padding 2 is attached to the guide member formed by the two pipes 4 and can be moved relative to the motherboard 1. The motherboard 1 is equipped with a fixing screw 4 'for fixing the pipes 4 in the desired position in a vertical direction. In the same way, the vertical position of the pubic symphysis pelota 3 can be adjusted, as it is attached to the guide member formed by two parallel pipes 5 and can be moved relative to the main plate 1, and is fixed by means of a fixing screw 5 '. The respective two parallel pipes 4, 5 are in the form of arms of one pipe bent in such a way that it is similar to the letter U, the top of which the pipe is bent is attached to the corresponding pelot 2, 3.
[0016] The mainboard 1 in its width direction is provided with two protrusions 6. To these protrusions are attached toothed belts 9. The fastening belt provided for wrapping the patient's body in the waist area 7 has fasteners 8 fastened at its ends 8. Fastener 8 it can be moved to different positions on the toothed belt 9 at the patient's request, in order to adjust the fastening belt to different circumferences of the patient's body.
[0017] The orthosis includes the posterior pelotte 10, which via the fastening strap 7 can be pressed against the patient's back in the region of his thoracic and lumbar vertebrae.
[0018] To fit the orthosis to the different waist circumferences of the patient, an extension part 11 is arranged on the projection 6 of the motherboard 1, which is provided with a projection 12 opposite the projection 6, so that the further extension part 11 can be applied to the extension part 11, etc. In the embodiment shown in Fig. 1, three extension parts 11 are mounted on both sides of the motherboard 6, which - explained in more detail below - are joined together in shape and form a stable expansion of the motherboard 1. The last extension part 11 has the form of the end part 11 ', which has a recessed lead 13 on the surface away from the body for guiding the fastening strip 7.
[0019] Figs. 2 to 6 show the structure of the main board 1 and (same) extension parts 11. Figs. 2 and 3 show a perspective view of the distant surfaces of the main board 1 and the extension part 11. The main board 1 on the projections 6 is provided in grooves 14 which are open to the outside, in which the ends of the fastening strip 7 are attached by means of a suitable fastener 8. The width of the protrusions 6 decreases conically on the outside, and these protrusions end with an edge 15, which acts as a stop. Below, i.e. closer to the body than the edge 15, the tongue 16 begins, reaching laterally beyond the edge 15.
[0020] Fig. 4 shows that the tongue 16 on the proximal body side of the motherboard is an extension of the section 17 of the projection 6. Section 17 protrudes gradually from the material of the projection 6 on the proximal body side, so that in its height and on both sides of the section 17 forms a stepped recess 18, through which on both sides of the segment 17 a stepped, retracted surface 19 of the contact surface 19 forms. A locking pin 20 protrudes from each contact surface 19.
[0021] The extension part 11 has a fork end whose recess 21 has a contour according to the tongue 16. The recess 21 is delimited by two arms 22, which on the surface away from the body have a graded transition line 23, whose course is compatible, and thus complementary to the graded going through 18th in performance 6. Due to the graded passage 23, each arm 22 has a gradually retracting contact surface 24 which contacts the respective contact surface 19. The contact surface 24 is provided with a through hole 25 in which the locking pin 20 is housed. The arms 22 from the bottom of the recess 21 are connected to each other by a body 26, which on its surface away from the body has a groove-like recess 27 located on its width, which serves as a guide for the fastening strip 7.
As shown in Fig. 4, the body of the extension part on the proximal body surface has a central stepped recess 28 in which the tongue 16 of the projection 6 extends beyond the limiting edge 15. The tongue 16 is provided with a latch projection 29, which in assembled condition fits in the appropriate hole 30.
[0023] Fig. 4 further shows that the body 26 of the extension part 11 in a suitable manner, like the projection 6, is provided with a fastening member consisting of the contact surface 19 and the locking pin 20, and with the tongue 16, so that the extension part 11 in the same way it can be snapped into the distal extension 11.
[0024] Fig. 3 shows that the locking of the extension part 11 on the projection 6 of the motherboard 1 occurs due to the fact that the extension part 11 can be tilted towards the body and in this position is so close to the projection 6 that the contact surface 24 is located opposite the contact surface 19. Then, the limiting edge 15 of the projection 6 adheres to the respective limiting edge 31 of the body 26. By tilting the extension part 11 backwards to the position where it extends the projection 6, the locking pins 20 enter the holes 25 of the extension part 11. At the same time, the latch projection 29 of the tongue 16 enters the hole 30 in the stepped recess 28 of the extension part 11. Both the locks can be in the form of latches, thanks to which, with the help of the locking pins 20 and the latching projections 29, a form-fitting connection is created which is located along the entire width of the motherboard. Due to the appropriate dimensioning, e.g. snap projections 29 and holes 30, this connection can be tilted by a limited angle and / or can be flexible around an axis perpendicular to the width of the motherboard, thereby automatically adjusting the orthosis to the user's body circumference. In the pull direction of the attachment strip 7, a stable shaped connection is also formed due to the contact surfaces 19, 24 coming into contact with each other on both sides (in the vertical direction) of the projection 6.
[0025] Fig. 5 shows the close-up of the extension part 11 to the mounting position, and Fig. 6 the extension part 11, when tilted backwards to a position in which it extends the projection 6 of the motherboard 1, and in which the extension part 11 is firmly connected form-fitting.
[0026] Fig. 6 also shows that a further extension having the same shape can be mounted on the extension part 11 in the same way, so that the configuration shown in Fig. 1 with the motherboard 1 widened by three extension parts can easily be obtained 11 on each side.
[0027] Fig. 7 shows a second embodiment of the orthosis according to the invention in the form of a hyperextension orthosis. It differs from the first embodiment of the orthosis shown in Fig. 1 in that the rear support 10 also has a fastening member for attaching the extension parts 11, so that the width of the rear support 10 can also be adjusted in the same way as the width of the abdominal motherboard 1. [0028] The third embodiment of the orthosis shown in Fig. 8 compared to the first embodiment of the orthosis shown in Fig. 1 includes the modification that the rear support 110 is in the form of a motherboard enlarged towards its height. To this end, extension pads 111 are applied to the rear peloton 110 with a width equal to the width of the rear peloton 110. This allows you to decide at what length the spine can be supported by the rear peloton 110. In this embodiment, it is of particular importance that the extension parts 111 relative to the rear support 110 motherboard and relative to each other can tilt by a limited angle, so that the cortezia can be flexibly adapted to the shape of the spine, and yet its required support is provided. As with widening, an extension obtained with at least one extension part 111 can be completed with the end portion 11 części. [0029] Of course, it is also conceivable to combine the widened posterior pelotte 10 shown in Fig. 7 with the posterior enlarged posterior 110, so that the posterior pelotte can then be enlarged thanks to the extension parts 11, 111 in width as well as in height.
