Apparatus and process for separation of organic materials from attached insoluble solids, and conversion into useful products

Abstract

The present invention relates to the processing of waste and low value products containing bone material to produce useful materials in reliable purities and compositions, at acceptable prices, and with high energy efficiency. In particular, the invention comprises a process which converts various feed materials such as e.g. waste, animal fertilizer, and municipal sewage sludge, for useful materials including gas, oil, specialty chemicals, and carbon solids. The process heats feedstock to degrade proteins and separates organic matter from bone material, exerts additional heating and pressure on the resulting liquid mixture, separates various components and then exerts additional heat and pressure to one or more of these components. The invention further comprises an apparatus for carrying out a process for converting waste products into useful materials, and an oil product resulting from the process. ?? ?? ?? ?? 1
