Novel serine protease genes related to dppiv

Abstract

The present invention relates to novel proteins or polypeptides that exhibit a significant sequence homology to DPPIV, and include the nucleic acids encoding them, the cells that have been modified by said nucleic acids to express these proteins, said protein proteins, screening methods , with which new therapeutic agents can be detected that inhibit the activity of such proteins or related proteins and the invention discloses therapeutic agents discovered by such a screening assay and new therapeutic therapies.
