  1. 1
CLAIMS 1. A storage medium (200) comprising video data (102), and first and second graphics data for providing a menu screen, wherein the first graphics data and the second graphics data are implemented using the same structure having a field for discriminating between the first graphics data and second graphics data, and in a graphics decoder (250) of a reproducing apparatus comprising a video decoder (230) which decodes the video data, the graphics decoder which decodes the graphics data, a blender (270) overlaying the decoded video data and the decoded graphics data and an interface transmitting a user input to the graphics decoder, the first graphics data and the second graphics data are discriminated from the field of the graphics data, the first graphic data is decoded to execute an output of a menu screen on the screen in response to an activation command of a user which is input from the interface, and the second graphics data is decoded to execute an output of a menu screen on the screen from a designated output start time to output finish time.
  2. 5
A reproducing apparatus of reproducing a storage medium (200) comprising video data, and first and second graphics data for providing a menu screen, the reproducing apparatus comprising:a video decoder (230) which decodes the video data, the graphics decoder (250) which decodes the graphics data, a blender (270) overlaying the decoded video data and the decoded graphics data, and an interface transmitting a user input to the graphics decoder, wherein the first graphics data and the second graphics data are implemented using the same structure having a field for discriminating between the first graphics data and second graphics data, and the graphics decoder discriminates between the first graphics data and the second graphics data from the field of the graphics data, decodes the first graphic data that outputs a menu screen on the screen in response to an activation command of a user which is input from the user interface, and decodes the second graphics data that outputs a menu screen on the screen from a designated output start time to output finish time.
