  1. 1
A method for perforating a wellbore, the method comprising:deploying a perforating gun assembly (100) in the wellbore;detonating a plurality of shaped charges (106, 108, 110, 112, 114, 116, 118, 120, 122, 124, 126) supported within a hollow carrier gun body (102) of the perforating gun (100) to thereby create a dynamic underbalance condition in the wellbore;the method characterized by creating a secondary pressure event within the wellbore simultaneously with or immediately after detonation of the plurality of shaped charges (106, 108, 110, 112, 114, 116, 118, 120, 122, 124, 126) to reduce the dynamic underbalanced condition.
  2. 4
A wellbore pressure control assembly for use during a perforating operation in a wellbore, the wellbore pressure control assembly comprising:a hollow tubular body (102);at least one explosive charge (106, 108, 110, 112, 114, 116, 118, 120, 122, 124, 126) disposed within the hollow tubular body (102) characterized in that detonation of the at least one explosive charge (106, 108, 110, 112, 114, 116, 118, 120, 122, 124, 126) creates a dynamic underbalance condition in the wellbore;characterized by a secondary pressure generator operably associated with the at least one explosive charge (106, 108, 110, 112, 114, 116, 118, 120, 122, 124, 126);wherein the secondary pressure generator reduces the dynamic underbalance condition by increasing the pressure in the near wellbore region simultaneously with or immediately after detonation of the at least one explosive charge (106, 108, 110, 112, 114, 116, 118, 120, 122, 124, 126).
