Triggered by one- such as in <figref idrefs="f0005">FIGS. 6 and Fig. 7</figref> exemplified -.. entering a destination, a point-of-interest or similar searches a local search engine 41 in a in a in <figref idrefs="f0002">FIG. 2</figref> implemented with reference numeral 28 designated memory on-board data base 42 for non-graphic navigation information (eg a route atlas, Points-of-Interest o. ä.). Then searches an online search engine 43 - using the wireless Internet connection 203, the motor vehicle 3, the wireless communication link 311 and the Internet 15 - in the server 10 associated database 44 for non-graphic navigation information, in which the non-graphical navigation information is stored , Parallel searches the local search engine 41 in an implemented in the isolated, immobile memory 18 data base 46 for non-graphic navigation information. The result of the above search is an XML file 45 with assorted local and GPS data and possibly other non-graphical navigation information. The XML file 45 is used by an update routine 49, the on-board data base 42 to complete or update. In the background, and if necessary by an operator unnoticed stored in the database 46 data from an update routine 47 used to the on-board data base 42 to complete or update. Optional an also possibly from an operator unnoticed working update routine 48 may be provided in addition, by means of the data base 46 is updated or refreshed navigation database information 44th
Then look for a local search engine 50 in an on-board data base 51 for graphical navigation information, especially maps of. After looking online search engine 52 in the server 10 associated database 53 for graphical navigation information. Parallel searches the local search engine 51 in an implemented in the isolated, immobile memory 18 data base 56 for graphical navigation information.
The result of the Search in the databases 51, 53 and 56 are selected graphical navigation information 54. The selected graphic navigation information 54 used by an update routine 58 to the on-board data base 51 to complete or update. In the background, and if necessary by an operator unnoticed stored in the data base 56 data is used by an update routine 57 to the on-board data base 51 to complete or update. Optional an also possibly from an operator unnoticed working update routine 55 may be provided in addition, by means of the data base 56 is added or updated with graphical navigation information data base 53rd
In addition, the selected graphical navigation information 54 and the XML file 45 using touch screen 21 - on such, with reference <figref idrefs="f0004">Fig. 4, Fig. 5</figref>. <figref idrefs="f0006">Fig. 8, Fig. 9</figref>. <figref idrefs="f0007">Fig. 10, Fig. 11</figref> and <figref idrefs="f0008">Fig. 12</figref> -explained displayed or used for displaying information.
<figref idrefs="f0004">Fig. 4</figref> shows an embodiment of a top view illustration of an integrated 61A in a 3D graphics suggested route 62A by means of the touch screen 21. In this illustration, also additional information such as Points-Of-Interest (POIs) can be entered. In addition to the top view illustration 61A of 3D graphics, a control bar is shown 60th With this control panel 60, the display can be changed and / or other and / or additional functions are activated or operated. Thus, by means of the control bar 60 in the<figref idrefs="f0004">Fig. 4</figref> selected top view illustration 61A of 3D graphics - as in <figref idrefs="f0004">Fig. 5</figref> represented - 61 B are changed in a bird's-eye view. According to the suggested route 62B is shown integrated into the bird's-eye view.
<figref idrefs="f0005">Fig. 6</figref> shows an embodiment of a display of an input mask for entering a start and a destination by means of the touch screen a start box 70 and box 71 target 21 are provided for this purpose in the illustrated embodiment. The destination can take place eg alphanumeric by an illustrated keyboard 72nd Alternatively or additionally, the destination entry by voice input or character recognition (in particular a character recognition to identify Asian characters) occur or gesture input. The selection of a location can be carried out on a map, a satellite image and / or a 3D graphic. In this case, a zoom function for the map, the satellite image and / or the 3D graphics is provided in one embodiment. The starting point may be the current position of the motor vehicle. 2
It can also be provided that - as in <figref idrefs="f0005">Fig. 7</figref> represented - an operator of the motor vehicle 2 a particular object (restaurant, Landmark, store, gas station, etc.) may be looking at a particular search area (street, city, zip code, county, etc.). Given an input mask with an object box 75 to enter a to measuring object (restaurant, Landmark, store, gas station, etc.) and an area input field is 76 to enter the search area (street, city, zip code, county, etc.). The operator can then select a hit from the means of search or determined (eg in a map, in a satellite image, and / or in a 3D graphics) results offered.
It can be provided that the evaluation of a voice input or a gesture input on-board or - if a connection to the server 10 is - via the server 10 offboard done. In this case, for example, voice commands may be sent as a compressed audio file for evaluation to the server 10th It may also be a hybrid on-board / off-board evaluation provided. Initially, an evaluation of a voice input or a gesture input on-board and a "fine evaluation" of these inputs offboard means of the server.
If the destination entry by voice input may - as in <figref idrefs="f0006">Fig. 8</figref> represented - a graphic confirmation of 82 voice input done. This graphical confirmation 82 may - as in<figref idrefs="f0006">Fig. 8</figref> represented - eg (limited) overlap a map display. Thus, the embodiment shown according to<figref idrefs="f0006">Fig. 8</figref> for example, a bird's eye-view 80 of an integrated in a 3D graphics suggested route 81 via the touchscreen 21st
It can also be provided that preferred routes are selectable. So shows<figref idrefs="f0006">Fig. 9</figref> an embodiment of a display for selecting preferred routes via the touchscreen 21st
It can also be provided an automatic or at least an interactively automatic destination selection under certain circumstances. So it can be provided that the motor vehicle 3 transmits operation information of the vehicle 3 to the server 10th An operation information of the vehicle 3 in this sense, for example, the status of the tank, the oil level, or information about a defect be. For example, if transferred, that the tank is almost empty, so navigation is offered and / or provided to the next gas station. If, for example transmitted, that a particular defect, so a menu to the next (suitable) is offered and / or provided service station.
<figref idrefs="f0007">Fig. 10</figref> shows an embodiment of a display of a route overview via the touchscreen 21. Here, numeral 90 a satellite image, and numeral 91 a suggested route. The route summary can also, in particular, from the air, carried in a fly-through mode.
Satellite images 100 can - as exemplified in <figref idrefs="f0007">Fig. 11</figref> shown - also by additional information 101, such as roads, street names or designations, buildings, vehicles, traffic information (possibly customized) POIs, call-out boxes, rest areas etc. are superimposed or supplemented. Special information on service areas or parking for example can be provided when a certain driving period has been exceeded.
It may - as in <figref idrefs="f0008">Fig. 12</figref> shown - be a follow-me function provided in the position 116 of a selected other motor vehicle on a map, a satellite image and / or a 3D graphics 110, in particular together with the position 115 of the motor vehicle 2, is shown. In addition, a suggested route are displayed 111th
It can be provided that a motor vehicle as the motor vehicle 2 comprises more than one man-machine interface such as the touch screen 21 to output or display of route proposals, positions of motor vehicles and navigation information. So may be proceed in particular that a driver assigned man-machine interface other information indicates as another man-machine interface or that a driver assigned man-machine interface, the same information as another human-machine interface, however, displays in different ways.
