Negative active core-shell material, method of preparing the same, and rechargeable lithium battery including the same

A negative active material for a rechargeable lithium battery of the present invention includes a lithium-vanadium oxide core material capable of performing reversible electrochemical oxidation and reduction, and an inorganic oxide coating layer disposed on the surface of the core material. The negative active material can improve stability at the interface between a negative electrode and an electrolyte, charge and discharge efficiency, and cycle-life, and can be applied along with all kinds of aqueous and non-aqueous binders.
