Claims of equivalent WO 2005000363 A2 CLAIMS What is claimed is:1. An apparatus for cleaning a fluid handling device, said apparatus comprising: an array of channels, each of said channels comprising a dielectric material and configured to accommodate a single fluid handling device;at least one electrode in contact with each channel, for producing a discrete plasma in each channel;and at least one conducting ground adjacent to said array of channels.
  2. 12
A method of cleaning a fluid handling device, said method comprising:positioning at least a portion of said fluid handling device within an interior of a channel;and causing a plasma to be formed within said interior of a channel.
  3. 13
A method of cleaning a plurality of fluid handling devices, said method comprising:positioning at least a portion of each of said fluid handling devices within an interior of a discrete channel of an array of channels;and causing a plasma to be formed within said interior of said discrete channels.
  4. 14
An apparatus for cleaning a fluid handling device, said apparatus comprising:an array of channels in a configuration corresponding to a microtiter plate, each of said channels comprising a dielectric material and configured to accommodate a single fluid handling device;at least one electrode in contact with each channel, for producing a discrete plasma in each channel;and a conducting ground adjacent to said array of channels, wherein said conducting ground is adjacent to each of said channels.
  5. 16
An apparatus for cleaning a fluid handling device, said apparatus comprising:an array of channels in a configuration corresponding to a microtiter plate, each of said channels comprising a dielectric material and configured to accommodate a single fluid handling device;at least one electrode in contact with each channel, for producing a discrete plasma in each channel;and a conducting ground adjacent to each of said channels, wherein said fluid handling device comprises the conducting ground for the channel within which it is accommodated.
