15 claims: 8 independent, 7 dependent

  1. 1
Paving tile manufactured from dry premixes containing a hydraulic binder, said binder including, in bulk, titanium dioxide photocatalyst particles able to oxidize in the presence of light, air and environmental humidity polluting substances present in the environment.
  2. 7
Paving tile as claimed in anyone of claims from 1 to 6, where the TiO2 photocatalyst is a matrix doped with one or more atoms different from Ti.
  3. 8
Paving tile as claimed in anyone of claims from 1 to 7, where the TiO2 photocatalyst is a matrix doped with one or more atoms selected from Fe(III), Mo(V), Ru(III), Os(III), Re(V), V(V) and Rh(III).
  4. 9
Paving tile as claimed in anyone of claims from 1 to 8 characterized in that the photocatalyst is contained in quantities ranging from 0.01% to 10% by weight.
  5. 10
Paving tile as claimed in anyone of claims from 1 to 9 characterized in that the photocatalyst is added in a quantity equal to 0.1% by weight with respect to the binder.
  6. 11
Paving tile as claimed in anyone of claims from 1 to 9 characterized in that the titanium dioxide is added in a quantity equal to 0.5% by weight with respect to the binder.
  7. 12
Paving tile as claimed in anyone of claims from 1 to 11 characterized in that the hydraulic binder is selected from a cement according to UNI ENV 197.1 standard, a cement for debris dam, a cement binder and hydraulic lime.
  8. 14
Use of a dry premix containing a hydraulic binder, said binder including, in bulk, titanium dioxide photocatalyst particles able to oxidize in the presence of light, air and environmental humidity polluting substances present in the environment, to manufacture paving tiles maintaining after the installation for longer time periods the brilliance and the colour quantity.
