System for data transfer including a circuit for saving energy

Abstract

The present method of controlling a two-component (1,2) system for data transfer between the two components (1,2) allows both components (1,2) to be in an energy-efficient sleep mode for most of their service life are located. During a periodic awakening, one of the components (1, 2) determines whether the other component wants to transmit data (1, 2). This sends an activation signal, which lasts longer than the said one component can be continuously in sleep mode. Upon receipt of the activation signal by said one component (1,2), data transfer is begun.
