    A data latch circuit which samples a digital signal including:a first capacitor means (7005) having first and second electrodes, a second capacitor means (7006) having third and fourth electrodes, a first inverter (7008) comprising a transistor whose input terminal is connected to the first electrode and the third electrode, and a first switch (7007) connected between the input terminal and an output terminal of the first inverter (7008), wherein the data latch circuit is characterized in that the first switch (7007) is programmed to be turned ON while said data latch circuit inputs a first potential to the second electrode of the first capacitor means (7005) and inputs a second potential to the fourth electrode of the second capacitor means (7006) during a reset period, wherein the first potential is equal to the high level of the digital signal and the second potential is equal to the low level of the digital signal, and further said data latch circuit inputs the digital signal to the second electrode of the first capacitor means (7005) and to the fourth electrode of the second capacitor means (7006) during a sampling period after the reset period.

    The data latch circuit according claim 1, further comprising second and third switches (7001, 7003) connected to the second electrode, and fourth and fifth switches (7002, 7004) connected to the fourth electrode, wherein the second switch (7001) is programmed to be turned ON to input the first potential to the second electrode of the first capacitor means (7005), and the fourth switch (7002) is programmed to be turned ON to input the second potential to the fourth electrode of the second capacitor means (7006) during the reset period, and further the third switch (7003) is programmed to be turned ON to input the digital signal to the second electrode of the first capacitor means (7005), and the fifth switch (7004) is programmed to be turned ON to input the digital signal to the fourth electrode of the second capacitor means (7006) during the sampling period after the reset period.

    A data latch circuit which samples a digital signal including:a first capacitor means (8008) having first and second electrodes, a second capacitor means (8012) having third and fourth electrodes, a first inverter (8010) whose input terminal is connected to the first electrode and whose output terminal is connected to the third electrode, a first switch (8014) connected between the input terminal and the output terminal of the first inverter (8010), a third capacitor means (8009) having fifth and sixth electrodes, a fourth capacitor means (8013) having seventh and eighth electrodes, a second inverter (8011) whose input terminal is connected to the fifth electrode and whose output terminal is connected to the seventh electrode, a second switch (8015) connected between the input terminal and the output terminal of the second inverter (8011), a third inverter (8001) comprising a transistor whose input terminal is connected to the fourth and eighth electrodes, and a third switch (8003) connected between the input terminal and an output terminal of the third inverter (8001), wherein the data latch circuit is characterized in that the first, second and third switches (8014, 8015, 8003) are programmed to be turned ON while said data latch circuit inputs a first potential to the second electrode of the first capacitor means (8008), and inputs a second potential to the sixth electrode of the third capacitor means (8009) during a reset period, wherein the first potential is equal to the high level of the digital signal and the second potential is equal to the low level of the digital signal, and further said data latch circuit inputs the digital signal to the second electrode of the first capacitor means (8008) and to the sixth electrode of the third capacitor means (8009) during a sampling period after the reset period.

    The data latch circuit according claim 3, further comprising a sixth capacitor connected to the first electrode and the fifth electrode.

    The data latch circuit according to any one of claims 1 to 4, wherein the reset period is determined with a sampling pulse from a shift register of the preceding stage while the sampling period is determined with a sampling pulse from a shift register of the present stage.

    The data latch circuit according to any one of claims 1 to 4, wherein the amplitude of the digital signal is comparatively smaller than the width of a power supply voltage which is used for the data latch circuit.

    The data latch circuit according to any one of claims 1 to 4, wherein the data latch circuit is formed by using thin film transistors.

    An electronic device using the data latch circuit according to any one of claims 1 to 4.
