17 claims: 10 independent, 7 dependent

  1. 1
An integrated circuit comprising:circuitry (15-18,150-158) to be tested;test control circuitry (11) between said at least one test input and said circuitry to be tested, wherein said integrated circuit is arranged so that test data (AB) is clocked in with respect to a rising clock edge of said test clock and test data (AB) is clocked in with respect to a falling clock edge of said test clock;characterised in that the integrated circuit further comprises at least one test input configured to receive test data (AB) from off chip and a test clock from off chip;and the test data clocked in on said rising edge (A2) is directed to a first one of said test control circuitry and test data clocked in on said falling clock edge (B2) is directed to a second one of said test control circuitry.
  2. 2
An integrated circuit comprising:circuitry (15-18,150-158) to be tested;test control circuitry (16a,16b,16c) between said at least one test output and said circuitry to be tested, wherein said integrated circuit is arranged so that test data (D1) is clocked out with respect to a rising clock edge of said test clock and test data (C1) is clocked out with respect to a falling clock edge of said test clock;characterised in that the integrated circuit further comprises at least one test output (7) configured to output test data off chip and at least one test input configured to receive a test clock from off chip;and the test data clocked out on said rising edge (D1) is directed from a first one of said test control circuitry and test data clocked out on said falling clock edge (C1) is directed from a second one of said test control circuitry.
  3. 3
A circuit as claimed in any preceding claim, wherein said integrated circuit comprises circuitry (205,210) for separating test data clocked with respect to the rising edge of the test clock signal and test data clocked with respect to the falling edge of said test clock signal.
  4. 6
An circuit as claimed in any preceding claim, a plurality of test control circuitry is provided and said test data is clocked in a plurality of time slots, with test data for different ones of test control circuitry being allocated to different time slots.
  5. 10
A circuit as claimed in any of claims 6 to 9, wherein frames are provided, each containing n time slots.
  6. 12
A circuit as claimed in any of claims 6 to 11, wherein the slots in a frame are allocated to predetermined ones of said plurality of test control circuitry and said allocation is used for a plurality of said frames.
  7. 13
A circuit as claimed in any of claims 6 to 11, wherein the slots are allocated dynamically to said plurality of test control circuitry.
  8. 14
A circuit as claimed in any of claims 6 to 13, wherein one of test control circuitry is allocated to one half of the available slots.
  9. 15
A circuit as claimed in any of claims 6 to 14, wherein one of said test control circuitry is allocated to a quarter of the available slots.
  10. 16
A circuit as claimed in any of claims 6 to 15, wherein a given time slot is allocated to a given channel until information is received to allocate the time slot to a different channel.
