    A method for providing an emergency service request (300) from a calling station (224, 268) at a calling location to an appropriate public safety answering point (244) for responding to said emergency service request (300)at said calling location; the method comprising:a) initiating said emergency service request (300) from said calling station (224, 268) to an emergency service call center (212);said emergency service call center (212) including an emergency service call center database (264);b) providing location information regarding said calling location from said emergency call center to an emergency service complex (304);c) in no particular order: (1) storing said emergency service request (300) and said location information (304) in said emergency service call center database (264);and (2) providing said emergency service request (300) and said location information (304) to said emergency service complex (216);d) employing said location information to identify routing information (308) appropriate for effecting delivery of said emergency service request (300) to an appropriate network switch (232, 236) for delivering said emergency service request to said appropriate public safety answering point (244);e) presenting said routing information (308) to said emergency service call center (212);and f) sending said emergency service request (300) to said appropriate public safety answering point (244) via said appropriate network switch (232, 236) using said routing information (308).

    The method for providing an emergency service request (300) from a calling station (224, 268) to an appropriate public safety answering point (244) as recited in Claim 1 wherein said emergency service call center (212) stores said emergency service request (300) and said location information (304) at said emergency service complex (216).

    The method for providing an emergency service request (300) from a calling station (224, 268) to an appropriate public safety answering point (244) as recited in Claim 1 wherein said calling station (224, 268) is a mobile communicating station (268), and wherein said appropriate network switch (232, 236) is coupled with at least one public switched telephone network (204) and at least one mobile communication network (220).

    The method for providing an emergency service request (300) from a calling station (224, 268) to an appropriate public safety answering point (244) as recited in Claim 1 wherein said appropriate network switch (232, 236) is accessible via at least one computer network (206).

    A system for providing an emergency service request (300) from a calling station (224, 268) at a calling location to an appropriate public safety answering point (244) for responding to said emergency service request(300) at said calling location; the system comprising:a) an emergency service call center (212);b) at least one communication network (204, 206, 208, 220) coupled with said emergency service call center (212) and coupled with said calling station (224, 268);and c) an emergency service complex (216) coupled with said emergency service call center (212);said emergency service call center (212) receiving said emergency service request (300) from said calling station (224, 268) via said at least one communication network (204, 206, 208, 220);said calling station (224, 268) and said emergency service call center (212) operating cooperatively to identify location information regarding said calling location (304);said emergency service call center (212) providing said emergency service request (300) and said location information (304) to said emergency service complex (216);said emergency service complex (216) employing said location information (304) to identify routing information (308) appropriate for effecting delivery of said emergency service request (300) to an appropriate network switch (232, 236) for delivering said emergency service request to said appropriate public safety answering point (244);said emergency service complex (216) presenting said routing information (308) to said emergency service call center (212);and said emergency service call center (212) sending said emergency service request (300) to said appropriate public safety answering point (244) via said appropriate network switch (232, 236) using said routing information (308).

    The system for providing an emergency service request (300) from a calling station (224, 268) at a location to an appropriate public safety answering point (244) as recited in Claim 7 wherein the system further comprises at least one information retrieval center (228) coupled with said emergency service complex (212);said at least one information retrieval center (228) availing said emergency service complex (216) with information related with said emergency service request (300).

    The system for providing an emergency service request (300) from a calling station (224, 268) at a location to an appropriate public safety answering point (244) as recited in Claim 7 wherein said emergency service call center (212) includes an emergency service call center database (264), and wherein said emergency service call center (212) stores said emergency service request (300) and said location information (304) in said emergency service call center database (264).

    The system for providing an emergency service request (300) from a calling station (224, 268) at a location to an appropriate public safety answering point (244) as recited in Claim 7 wherein said calling station (224, 268) is a mobile communicating station (268), and wherein said appropriate network switch (232, 236) is coupled with at least one public switched telephone network (204) and at least one mobile communication network (220).
