This refers to the transmission of requests for emergency services initially processed by an emergency services call center to a public security answering point. The present also serves to enhance information provided to a public security answering point operator visually in connection with calls routed to that public security answering point. This information may include caller ID, and additional information, such as information regarding the caller's location and the nature of the emergency. Likewise, the routing of requests for emergency services to an appropriate public security response point can be made for requests received in a wide geographic area.
