  1. 1
A method of securely communicating a message comprising data packets (140) including data bytes arranged in a particular order from a transmitting device (100) over the Internet to a receiving device (110), the method characterized by the following steps:(1) establishing at the transmitting device (100) a interleaving and encryption algorithm that determines how data will be randomly interleaved so as to form a new set of interleaved payload data (320) and how the payload data will be subsequently encrypted using a session key so as to form a set of session key encrypted payload data (330);(2) at the transmitting device (100) using the interleaving and encryption algorithm to form the set of session key encrypted payload data (330) so that the set of session key encrypted payload data (330) can be securely transmitted over the Internet to the receiving device (110);and (3) transmitting the set of session key encrypted payload data with an identifier that indicates where the data belongs in original message sequence, and a second identifier that indicates the interleaving sequence used to form each of the interleaved data packets so that when received by the receiving device (110) the set of session key encrypted payload data (330) can be deinterleaved and the data bytes reassembled into the particular order consistent with the interleaving and encryption algorithm.
  2. 13
A system for securely communicating a message comprising data packets (140) including data bytes arranged in a particular order from a transmitting device (100) over the Internet to a receiving device (110), the system being characterized by :(1) the transmitting device (100) including a interleaving and encryption algorithm that determines how data will be randomly interleaved so as to form a new set of interleaved payload data (320) and how the payload data will be subsequently encrypted using a session key so as to form a set of session key encrypted payload data (330);(2) the transmitting device (100) configured to use the interleaving and encryption algorithm to form the set of session key encrypted payload data (330) so that the set of session key encrypted payload data (330) can be securely transmitted over the Internet to the receiving device (110) and configured to transmit the set of session key encrypted payload data with an identifier that indicates where the data belongs in original message sequence, and a second identifier that indicates the interleaving sequence used to form each of the interleaved data packets and (3) the receiving device (110) being configured to de-interleave the set of session key encrypted payload data (330) and the data byte reassembled into the particular order consistent with the interleaving and encryption algorithm.
