Exterior rear view mirror for vehicles, in particular motor vehicles

Abstract

The exterior rearview mirror has a mirror housing (2) in which a glass carrier plate is adjustably housed. The mirror housing (2) has a light source (15), which is associated with a light exit opening in the mirror housing (2). To form the exterior rearview mirror so that a simple and cost-effective installation of the light source (15) in the mirror housing (2) is ensured, the light exit opening is filled with a light guide (6) which is connected within the mirror housing (2) with the light source (15) is. With the light guide (6) is a very simple installation of the mirror housing (2) and thus the exterior rearview mirror possible.
