Information transmitting method and basestation for receiving information

Abstract

The contactless transfer of information from a passive transponder to a base station takes place in a known manner by load modulation in the transponder. The coils of resonant circuits in the base station and in the transponder are inductively coupled together, both resonant circuits are matched as well as possible to the carrier frequency of the base station so that the load modulation of the resonant circuit in the transponder affects the current in the resonant circuit of the base station. Since in practical cases the two resonant circuits are often not exactly matched to one another and the transponder can also be moved during the transmission of information, it may be that in the usual demodulation in the base station, no signal is recovered. According to the invention, it is therefore proposed demodulated in the base station from the antenna signal imaginary part and real part or different combinations thereof separately and to be linked together via a logic circuit, which in particular causes a mutual locking of the two channels. As a result, a more reliable recovery of the information transmitted by the transponder in the base station is possible.
