The present invention relates to a mixer for Doppelaustragkartuschen according to the preamble of Patent claim 1. Such mixers are already known, for example, from EP-B-0121342, and have the task the two components discharged from the dispensing cartridges are intimately mixed in order processed such to apply.
If the two storage cylinders of dispensing approximately have the same volume and also about the possess the same discharge ports, represents the mixing the two components from the very beginning no major problems more. However, if the storage cylinder significantly different Volumes - which is tantamount to various Cross sections, since the storage cylinders manufacturing and operational reasons which have same length - and outlet openings comprise, for example, at a ratio of 10: 1, there is a risk that the component of the larger Storage cylinders at the start of discharging the mixer element group filling of the mixer and thus the second Component suppressed lower volume, or overwhelmed becomes. In particular, suppresses the entrance of the larger partial flow "A" the smaller part stream 'B' to the B-side wall of the mixing tube, where the latter, as a result of Wall friction remains and therefore the larger A-component is overwhelmed or suppressed and, therefore, only after some time can enforce as a flow. While this initial phase lags the partial flow A before and it there can be no mixing in the intended proportions, resulting in that the components do not or only partially able and characterized at each other react processing to faulty connections, seals, Prints, etc. comes.
Since it is generally at the second component to the Hardener (catalyst) is a mixture of components and with too little hardener can not be used, it is to stabilize the partial streams in the desired proportions usual, first squeeze out a certain amount of useless before starting the actual application of the mixture can be. Apart from the loss of components mass can these discharged substances not harden and cause problems when disposing.
In EP-A-0584428 (Application 24/08/92; Publication 3.2.94) is a solution to this problem thus proposed that the dammed first major component is initially in a chamber is and means are provided to this first component in the inlet chamber of the second component to conduct and carry them. Although this embodiment a Improvement over the then known prior art Inappropriate caused this solution a larger flow resistance of a number of required cross-sectional reductions. This increased flow resistance, a make gain the cartridge walls and necessary requires higher forces during discharge.
Also known from EP-A-0472448 a dispensing device is known, wherein the outlets of the dispensing device, or the Cartridge housing are arranged such that the larger Component the smaller flows around and takes along. The The device is designed to work with or without mixer. If no mixer is used, the two components come together already in the cartridge or the dispensing appliance and cured compound causes after replacing the cartridge of the outlet must be cleaned before You can continue working. When using a Mixer, curing takes place there and after changing the mixer can without cleaning the outlet area of the Cartridge or the dispensing to continue working.
With above specified device but no precautions are taken for an accurate mixing ratio in the mixer.
It is on this basis object of the present invention to provide a mixer in which the side by side on the cartridge exiting components performed in the input section so be that the two components, the first mixer element Provide flow so that a good mixing of Prime is guaranteed, and before the first mixer element group no increased flow resistance is generated. On Mixer, which solves this problem is described in claim. 1
The invention is described below based on a drawing of Exemplary embodiments explained:<sl>
Figs. 1, 1a and 2 show in a perspective view a first embodiment of the invention,

FIGS. 3 and 4 show in perspective view a second Embodiment of the invention, wherein Fig. 4 partially is cut longitudinally,

Fig. 5 shows a section along the line VV in Fig. 4, and

Fig. Figure 6 shows a section according to line VI-VI in Fig. . 4
</sl>
In previously known mixers, the components arrive randomly to the first helix of the mixer, wherein the mixer element group is constructed such that the two components along the mixer and mix well until the discharge end. As mentioned initially, there is in prior art Mixers at different volume ratios, respectively. Aspect ratios of the storage cylinder to the fact that the Mass with the larger volume of the mass of the smaller Volume, especially in the initial phase, ie when filling of the mixing pipe, suppresses or overwhelms, so no prescribed mixing ratio can occur. After a certain time, ie, when the mixer is fully has been charged and discharged a certain amount was, the mixing ratio of the partial flows stabilized to a predetermined value.
Figures 1 and 1a show in perspective view the Input part 2 and the upper part of mixer element group 1 with Coils 9, 9a, and Figure 3 shows the input of the mixer housing 3. The in the mixer housing 3 matching input part 2 has a Arranging and conducting land 6 on the corresponding in a Guide 7 in the mixer housing 3 fits and also the Partial flow B leads. For aligning the mixer to the cartridge or the dispensing appliance either as in Figure 1 drawn the input part two alignment parts 4 and 5 which cooperate with the output of the cartridge or dispensing device cooperate or the mixer housing may include a Neck 25 comprise, with a corresponding cam cooperates on the cartridge or the dispensing appliance.
The smaller component B passes from the cartridge output, or dispensing into the channel 11, while the larger Component A is the radical of the available volume the input part occupies. The formation and location of the channel causing the component A at the beginning of the first Wendel 9 component B completely enveloped. is shown in FIG. 1a further be seen that the ridge-shaped land 10, wherein said first spiral begins, right in the middle of the channel 11 for the smaller component B is arranged, and this the partial stream A and Part B current divides in half. Of the Cover flange 8 corresponds to the clearance of the mixing tube 13 and may optionally have a sealing bead. Below the deck flange, on the entry the A component diametrically opposite side, an oblique guide surface 12, which of the jam prevents any existing air or gas and thus good ventilation and avoiding the mass trapped air bubbles guaranteed.
Through the accurate alignment of both partial streams on the web 10 of the first coil 9, wherein the web and behind the End wall 11a of the channel 11 extends, and the sheathing the component B by the component A is an exact Mixing ratio of the first coil and thus a ensures optimal mixing of both components and avoiding suppression of component B. Also Care is taken that the cross sections of the two Part flows in the region between the cover flange and the Steg approximately correspond to the mixing ratio.
In FIGS. 3-6, a second embodiment is shown, in which the channel for the smaller component B is completely enclosed. Since this is also about a for a double cartridge with adjacent mixer Storage cylinders are, the exit of B is located on the Cartridge and the input to the mixer for the smaller component B not in the center but laterally. For a optimal wrapping of the component B by the component A it is particularly advantageous, the component B in the middle to guide the mixer tube.
In Fig. 3 it can be seen in perspective view, the input part 14 with the subsequent mixer element group 15th The input part is on the B-side with a cover flange 16 is completed, the smaller an opening 17 for the Component B comprises, while the larger component A flows into the entrance portion adjacent the deck flange 16th At the Terminal of the mixer to the cartridge, the cartridge outlet 22 sealingly pressed against the cover flange 16th
The wall 18 is disposed perpendicular to the cover flange 16 and serves to center and stabilize the input part in the Mixer housing. Also in this embodiment is below the Deck flange 16 and on the entry of the A-component diametrically opposite side of an oblique guide surface 12 arranged in order to obtain good ventilation.
The channel 19 for the smaller partial flow B is the difference sides to channel 11 of the previous version closed. Channel 19 is, see also Fig. 4, with respect to the longitudinal axis of the mixer disposed obliquely and opens into the center of the mixer tube. Subsequent to the channel outlet is the ridge-shaped ridge 20 of the first Helix 21, which splits the part stream B into two halves, so as to a good prerequisite for a proper mixing to create. The first mixer element does not have a web 10 or 20 have and this need not be ridge-shaped.
The mixer housing 3B represents a variant of the mixer housing of Fig. 2 is and is attached to the cartridge housing, or the dispensing appliance, via a bayonet mount attachable and has a guide groove 7B, see FIG. 5, in which the fits on the A-side facing wall 18th The Bajonettflanschrand has a recess 26 that the alignment of the mixer to the cartridge or the dispensing appliance serves.
In FIG. 4 is a cutaway view of the mixer housing 3B, in which the outlet 22 with the two Outputs 23 and 24 of the double cartridge or the dispensing is located. In the two sections of the FIGS. 5 and 6 it can be seen that the channel 19 in the center the mixer tube 13B is performed.
From the above description it appears that the discharge ports the dispensing cartridge or the dispensing with the must match the input ports of the mixer and it necessary measures is provided, the mixer in the set up correct position it, especially if the volume and Oeffnungsverhältnis both storage cylinders different from 1: 1, as in the present application. Various other measures have the potential introduction -mentioned EP-A-0584428 been described. The same applies to the use of present invention mixer at a mixer connection to dosing and Proportionieranlagen.
The inventive mixer ensures efficient and optimal mixing process. With this arrangement, possibly occurring slight phase shifts or Pulsations between components A and B caused, different due to various influences such. B. Elasticity of the cartridge cylinder, due to the thereby improved compensation or remixing effect the static mixer largely offset. It is course to ensure that the cross-sections the partial streams are proportioned such that ensures is that both streams simultaneously the first coil to accomplish.
