p0001The present invention relates to a mixer for Doppelaustragkartuschen according to the preamble of claim 1. Such mixers are already known, for example from EP-B-121 342, and have the task of the two components that are discharged from the dispensing cartridges, intimately mix to make them apply such processed can.
p0002If the two storage cylinders of dispensing approximately the same volume and also have approximately the same discharge ports, is the mixing of the two components from the very beginning no major problems more. However, if the storage cylinder substantially different volumes - which is synonymous with different cross-sections, as the supply cylinder manufacturing and operational reasons are the same length - and having outlet openings, for example in a ratio of 10: 1, there is a risk that the component larger from the storage cylinders at the start of discharging the mixer element group of the mixer fills and thus suppresses the second component with a smaller volume, or is overwhelmed. In particular, in the entrance area presses the larger partial flow "A" the smaller part stream "B" to the B-side wall of the mixing tube, where it, due to the wall friction remains and therefore overwhelmed by the larger A-component, or is suppressed, and therefore only after some time can enforce as a flow. During this initial phase of the partial flow rushes A before and there can be no mixing in the intended proportions, resulting in that the components only partially can not respond or each other and this results in the processing of incorrect connections, seals, prints, etc. ,
p0003Since it is generally at the second component to the curing agent (catalyst) and a component mixture with too little hardener can not be used, it is to stabilize the partial streams in the desired proportions common to first squeeze a certain amount of useless, before the actual application may be initiated of the mixture. Apart from the loss of components mass these discharged substances can not harden and cause problems during disposal.
p0004In European patent application no. 92810645.9 a solution to this problem is characterized suggested that the first major component is initially accumulated in a chamber and means are provided to guide this first component into the inlet chamber of the second component and carry them. Although this version brought an improvement over the then known prior art, due to this solution a larger flow resistance of a number of required cross-sectional reductions. This increased flow resistance can make a gain of cartridge walls required and requires higher forces during discharge.
p0005Also known from EP-A-472 448 a dispensing device is known in which the outlets of the dispensing device, or of the cartridge housing are arranged such that the larger component flows around and drives the smaller. The device is designed to work with or without mixer. If a mixer is used, the two components come together already in the cartridge or the dispensing appliance and cured compound causes the outlet must be cleaned after replacing the cartridge before you can continue working. When using a mixer, curing takes place there, and after replacing the mixer can be continued without cleaning the outlet area of the cartridge or of the dispensing device.
p0006With above specified device but does not provide for an accurate mixing ratio in the mixer are taken.
p0007It is on this basis object of the present invention to provide a mixer in which the on the cartridge side by side exiting components are performed in the front end so that the two components, the first mixer element Provide flow such that a good mixing of the start is ensured and before first mixer element group no increased flow resistance is generated. A mixer, which solves this problem is described in claim. 1
p0008The invention will be described below with reference to drawings of exemplary embodiments:

Figs. 1, 1a and 2 show in a perspective view a first embodiment of the invention,

FIGS. 3 and 4 show in perspective view a second embodiment of the invention, in which Fig. 4 is partially cut longitudinally,

Fig. 5 shows a section according to line VV in Fig. 4, and

Fig. Figure 6 shows a section according to line VI-VI in Fig. 4.

p0009In previously known mixers, the components arrive randomly to the first spiral of the mixer, the mixer element group is designed such that the two components along the mixer and mix well until the discharge end. As mentioned initially, there is in prior art mixers at different volume ratios, respectively. Aspect ratios of the storage cylinder to the ground with the larger volume of the mass with the smaller volume, especially in the initial phase, ie when filling the mixing tube, suppressed or overwhelmed, so no prescribed mixing ratio can occur. After a certain time, ie if the mixer has been completely filled and a certain amount has been discharged, the mixing ratio of the partial flows stabilized at a predetermined value.
p0010Figures 1 and 1a show a perspective view of the input part 2 and the upper part of the mixer element group 1, and Figure 3 shows the input of the mixer housing 3. The right in the mixer housing 3 input part 2 has an alignment and conducting land 6 which in a corresponding guide groove 7 in the mixer housing 3 fits and also the substream B leads. For aligning the mixer to the cartridge or the dispensing appliance either plotted as in Figure 1, the input part two alignment parts 4 and 5 have, cooperating with the exit of the cartridge or dispensing device or the mixer housing may have a cutout 25, which with a corresponding cams the cartridge or the dispensing appliance cooperates.
p0011The smaller component B passes from the cartridge output, or dispensing into the channel 11, while the larger component A occupies the remainder of the available volume of the input part. The formation and location of the channel causes the component A at the beginning of the first coil 9, the component B completely enveloped. From Fig. 1a is further seen that the ridge-shaped land 10, wherein the first coil begins exactly in the middle of the channel 11 for the smaller component B is arranged, and this divides the partial flow A as well as partial flow B in half. The cover flange 8 corresponds to the clearance of the mixing tube 13 and may optionally include a sealing bead. Below the deck flange, on the entry of the A-component diametrically opposite side, an inclined guide surface 12 is arranged, which prevents the accumulation of any existing air or gas, thus ensuring a good ventilation and avoiding enclosed in the mass air bubbles.
p0012Through the accurate alignment of the two partial flows onto the web 10 of the first coil 9, wherein the web 11a of the channel 11 also extends behind the end wall, as well as the wrapping of the component B by the component A is at an exact mixing ratio of the first coil and thus ensures optimal mixing of the two components, and avoided a suppression of B component. In addition, care is taken that the cross sections of the two partial flows in the region between the cover flange and the web approximately corresponds to the mixing ratio.
p0013In FIGS. 3-6, a second embodiment is shown, in which the channel for the smaller component B is completely enclosed. Since this is also about a mixer for a double cartridge with adjacent storage cylinders, the outlet of the cartridge B to and the input to the mixer for the smaller component B is not in the middle but also laterally. For optimum wrapping of the component B by the component A, it is particularly advantageous to conduct the B component in the center of the mixer tube.
p0014In Fig. 3 it can be seen in perspective view, the input part 14 with the subsequent mixer element group 15. The input member is completed to the B-side with a cover flange 16, 17 for the smaller component B, having an aperture while the larger component A in addition to the cover flange 16 flows into the input part. When connecting the mixer to the cartridge, the cartridge outlet 22 is sealingly pressed against the cover flange 16th
p0015The wall 18 is disposed perpendicular to the cover flange 16 and serves to center and stabilize the input part in the mixer housing. Also in this embodiment, an inclined guide surface 12 is arranged to achieve a good ventilation below the deck flange 16 and on the entry of the A-component diametrically opposite side.
p0016The channel 19 for the smaller partial flow B is in contrast to the channel 11 of the previous version closed on all sides. Channel 19 is, see also Fig. 4, obliquely arranged in relation to the longitudinal axis of the mixer and flows into the center of the mixer tube. Subsequent to the channel exit is the ridge-shaped ridge 20 of the first coil 21, which divides the partial flow B into two halves, so as to provide a good basis for proper mixing. The first mixer element does not have a web having 10 or 20, and these need not be ridge-shaped.
p0017The mixer housing 3B illustrates a variant of the mixer housing of FIG. 2 is and is attached to the cartridge case, and the dispensing via a bayonet connection fixable and has a guide groove 7B, see FIG. 5, in which the on the A-side lying wall 18 fits. The Bajonettflanschrand has a recess 26, which serves for the alignment of the mixer to the cartridge or the dispensing appliance.
p0018In FIG. 4 is a cutaway view of the mixer housing 3B in which the outlet 22 to the two outputs 23 and 24 of the double cartridge or the dispensing is located. In the two sections of FIGS. 5 and 6 it can be seen that the channel 19 is guided to the center of the mixer tube 13B.
p0019From the above description shows that the discharge openings of the dispensing cartridge or the dispensing appliance must correspond to the input ports of the mixer and it is necessary to provide measures to put the mixer in the correct position it, especially when the volume and Oeffnungsverhältnis both storage cylinders different from 1: 1, as in the present application. Various other measures to have been described in the aforementioned European patent application no. 92810645.9. The same applies to the use of the present invention the mixer at a mixer after dosing and Proportionieranlagen.
p0020The inventive mixer ensures efficient and optimal mixing process. With this arrangement may be occurring slight phase shifts or pulsations between components A and B, caused by various factors such. As different elasticity of the cartridge cylinder, largely offset due to the thereby improved compensation or back mixing effect of the static mixer. Care must be taken, of course that the cross sections of the partial streams are proportioned such that it is ensured that both partial flows reach the first filament simultaneously.
