Method for automatic redialling in communication terminals.
Abstract

p0001The invention relates to a process for the redial-on-communication terminals according to the preamble of claim 1.
p0002From DE-OS 27 34 139 a comfort telephone is known, in which also the feature Redial is applied. There are two redial memory provided for their actuation a distinguishing criterion is necessary. If one of the redial memory is occupied, provided by the distinguishing criterion of each free redial memory as an option repeater. For the user it is important to know what is stored for repetitive number in which the redial memory. For the targeted selection of a stored two phone numbers, two keys are provided for Redial in a twelve-part keyboard.
p0003With such an arrangement of Wahlwiederholspeichern with a fixed allocation to two symbol keys only two redial memory can be used. While it is in claim 3 of the aforementioned published patent application mentions that "the circuitry on two flags expandable", but then follows with the two keys provided for Redial a more complicated operating procedure. Moreover, is not specified in detail how the additional flag is placed in the described comfort telephone.
p0004The object of the invention is to present a method for redialing in communication terminals, with a simple operation procedure and the use of only a single key, a larger number can be controlled by allocated to the redial numbers of to call destinations. It is the nature of the operation procedure will remain the same, regardless of how many are redial memory spaces available.
p0005To achieve this object, a combination of features is provided as set forth in claim. 1
p0006This is achieved in an advantageous manner that a user has multiple phone numbers for redial available that he can call at any time. To operate only one button is required, whereby the last number dialed is first issued unless another number is desired. When the planned storage capacity is exceeded, the furthest in the past number is respectively removed from the memory, that is overwritten, so that always be the last selected targets for redial available.
p0007Further developments of the invention result from the dependent claims. It is particularly advantageous if the to be provided for Redial number each appears in a display device. The standing in the rows of the redial memory numbers can also be taken individually and precisely in a speed dial memory. Also, a number of a caller who is in a call list can be stored in the redial memory.
p0008An embodiment of the invention Example is illustrated below with reference to drawings.
p0009It shows

Figure 1

a functional overview

Figure 2

a block diagram.

p0010The redial memory shown in Figure 1 WSP allows multiple storage locations (lines) each receive a number and works according to the LIFO principle. A most recently been stored number is therefore output first. This is indicated by arrows, after a last entered number is found on the top row of the memory. Entering a phone number is automatic when a new election. When the limit of the storage capacity is reached, the furthest in the past number is lost.
p0011Pressing the redial key WW, which is marked with a standard symbol, each space can be specifically controlled. Press once to the last dialed number is read. With each new actuation of the redial WW is switched to a respectively previously dialed number.
p0012The start of the election emission WS begins when after releasing the redial WW a predetermined time has elapsed or the operation time was long enough. Details will be explained with reference to FIG. 2 The operation procedure can also be designed so that the redial WW only used to select a phone number and saw the start of the election emission WS by picking up the handset HA or pressing another key T.
p0013In Figure 2 is shown as when dialing a number on the dial input line WE the emitted over a dial transmitter WS number in a row, z. B. 1, the redial memory WSP is stored.
p0014One of the lines 1 to n is in this case controlled such that each successive call number reaches the next line. If a new telephone number is sent out, and in the redial memory WSP no line is free, so the furthest in the past number, z. B. the standing in row 1, overwritten by the new number. In the next new number is then the following line, in Example 2, overwritten. In this way, the n last dialed numbers are always held in Wahlwiederholungsspelcher WSP. These are two address counters, one for storing EAZ and one for reading LAZ provided. When selecting a new phone number of the store-address counter EAZ is increased by 1, so that it always points to this last is stored phone number.
p0015When they were first pressing the designated a standardized symbol redial key WW the read address counter LAZ is connected to that line, where the store-address counter EAZ is pointing, so to where recently a new phone number was stored. Press again the redial key WW the read address counter LAZ counting backwards by one step so that the next to last number can be stored. Every renewed pressing the redial key WW causes the read address counter LAZ is switched to a line 1 to n, which includes a respective previously dialed number. The number is each provided in parallel in a display device AE, if any, visible.
p0016If after the initial activation of the redial key WW has passed a predetermined time, thus saith delay means VZ, and choosing transmitter WS is driven. The last dialed number is read and transmitted. So there is no difference from a terminal with a single redial memory space for the user.
p0017The user of a communication terminal can achieve that any present in the redial memory WSP number can be transmitted through one or more times pressing the redial key WW. Here, a control in an existing display device AE is possible in each case. to give enough time for a control order to the user, the expiration time of the delay means VZ can be adjusted to an acceptable level. This results in no major differences compared to the operation with a single redial memory, this expiration time of the delay means VZ can be set in single pressing the redial key WW in a shorter time.
p0018The requirement for a redial operation procedure may also be modified so that after selection of the repeating number by first briefly pressing the redial key WW it is operated to start the dial sending again for more. For this purpose, a timer ZG is provided which starts the polling station WS after its expiry.
p0019Finally, it is also conceivable that the indexing of the read address counter LAZ takes place only when the redial button WW is a short actuation, ie shorter than the expiration time of the timer ZG, released. Longer actuating then causes the emission of the displayed phone number, so that by again pressing the redial key WW is not required then.
p0020A simplification of the operating procedure occurs when the redial key WW only the selection of repeating number is made. To start sending election then the handset has to be removed so that it operated Contact GU can start the dial transmitter WS. Instead of a contact GU can also Lauthörtaste LH or a speed dial key KW are pressed. Here, the timer ZG can be omitted.
p0021The present in the redial memory WSP numbers can be transferred by a simple operation procedure in a speed dial memory KSP when an enter key UT is provided. Pressing this button takeover UT that number is added to the speed dial memory KSP, which had been previously selected by the redial WW. So it is that each number in the speed dial memory KSP transfer provided for transmitting a call and at the same time appears on the display device. Here one of the speed dialing keys must be K1 ... K0 operated to assign a place in the location of this number.
p0022If the communication terminal has a caller list ARL, bringing the numbers of interim callers are recorded and displayed, so these numbers can be transferred into the redial memory WSP. This can be done selectively by pressing a key 1 (eg key AT) or automatically on first call a number from the caller list. After a call connection can be made as described in the course of a redial conveniently without a new complete range is required. The numbers materialize Come incoming connections, which do not appear in the caller list are incorporated in the redial memory WSP.
p0023Of course, the method is also applicable when no display device AE is present, the user must of course remember which numbers are right now in the redial memory. Of course it is convenient to be able to control the contents of the redial memory WSP using a display device AE. If it accidentally comes to roll-out a visible in the display device AE number, so the choice of transmission can be interrupted in time before there is a connection.
