Arrangement for expanding private branch exchanger.
Abstract
The arrangement is constructed as a part of a private branch exchange and exhibits at least one base station of a cordless telephone, a handset and a charging station. Several base stations are thus supplied by a common power supply and are connected to an antenna diplexer via a coupler providing electrical isolation. The antenna diplexer is connected to an antenna communicating with the handsets via radio links. The charging stations are constructed as independent units which can be arranged separately from the base stations.

p0001The invention relates to an apparatus for forming side open systems using cordless telephones consisting of at least one base station to a handset and a charging station.
p0002Basically an extension of PBXs connected with considerable effort, since significant cabling work is required to provide additional extension normally. In addition, the owner of an extension for an absence from his usual place of work is cumbersome and time consuming to achieve. For expansion of installed PBX has therefore been proposed, in addition to the PBX provide cordless phones, their base stations are arranged in the area of the PBX. However, the operation of several base stations of cordless telephones with minute spacing has the drawback that undue interference by the antenna and the transmitting and receiving operation of the individual base stations, affecting the quality of signal transmission. It is therefore necessary to arrange the base stations with a distance of at least one meter from each other. In addition, for each base station a separate power supply is required. This results in an additional installation effort.
p0003Object of the present invention is therefore to improve a device of the generic type such that a predetermined number of extensions to operate reliable with minimal effort.
p0004This object is accordance with the invention achieved in that several base stations fed by a common supply unit and a, a galvanic isolation posh end couplers, are connected to an antenna switch which is connected to a wireless mode with the handsets communicating antenna and the charging stations as from the base stations arranged separately independent units are formed.
p0005The power of the base stations via a common supply unit eliminates a substantial portion of the necessary for the energy supply of separate base stations installation work. Due to the occurring through the coupler isolated connection between the base stations to the antenna switch makes it possible to communicate with all connected base stations via a common antenna with the respective associated handsets. Mutual influencing of adjacent antennas is thereby avoided. Moreover, it is possible to arrange the base stations with small spatial distance from one another and combine them into a single device. The separate from the base stations forming the charging stations makes it possible to arrange the charging stations in a vicinity of a workplace of the extension in question use Participant. Recharging or replacement of arranged in the handset batteries can hereby be carried out without significant cost. In particular, it is not necessary that the respective subscriber often not inconsiderable travels a route to the respectively associated base stations. The respective participant can take his handset to arbitrary locations within a bridged by a radio link between the base stations and handsets distance and is thereby contacted quickly and without any additional effort.
p0006According to a preferred embodiment, it is proposed that the antenna duplexer, the base stations and the base stations are arranged with the PBX connecting transmission units in a common housing and form a manifold. This produces a compact education is provided and reduces the installation effort.
p0007For amplifying the received signals is provided that is arranged in the region of the antenna duplexer, a receiving amplifier. It is also possible that a transmission signal is disposed a entkop pelnder transmission amplifier in the antenna duplexer, for amplifying a transmission signal.
p0008The installation work is further reduced in that the antenna is arranged in the region of the housing. However, it is to ensure optimum positioning of the antenna also possible that the antenna is designed as a separately arranged from the housing external component.
p0009A coordination between the operation of the base stations takes place in that the base stations are acted upon by an output stage switch-off.
p0010A simple construction of the charging stations is possible that at least one of the charging stations has a corresponding to a design of a housing of a base station constructed housing.
p0011In order to reduce the energy consumption in the area of the handsets is provided such that a him activating switch and of deactivating is arranged in the region of the handset.
p0012An embodiment of the invention is shown schematically in the drawings. Show it:

FIG. 1 is a block diagram of a private branch cell system with attached distributor for communication with handsets of cordless phones and

FIG. 2 is a block diagram of the distributor as well as a schematic representation of the associated handsets and charging stations.

p0013An apparatus for communication consists essentially of a distributor (1) which is connected to an interface (2) of a private branch exchange (3) can be connected. The interface (2) can be designed as a standard a / b interface. The private branch exchange (3) comprises connecting lines (4) to a communication network (5). About cable connections (6), private branch exchange (3) with extension (7) is connected. The manifold (1) communicates via an antenna (8) to handsets (9) of cordless telephones, the base stations are arranged (10) in the region of the distributor (1). The antenna (8) arranged in the region of the distributor (1) and in the region of the distributor (1) enclosing the housing (11) to be fastened. However, it is also possible that the antenna (8) form as an external antenna and to be connected via a coaxial cable to the manifold (1).
p0014Each of the handsets (9) is receivable from a loading station (12), which is designed as an independent device and a connecting cable (13) is connectable to a power supply (14). In particular, it is contemplated to use as a power supply (14) which is present as standard AC mains. Using the charging station (12) it is possible to charge in the range of the handset (9) arranged batteries, or replace discharged batteries for recharged batteries. A charging station (12) enclosing the housing (15) may be substantially identical to a conventional case of a base station (10) of a cordless telephone to be formed.
p0015In the area of the distributor (1) is a supply unit (16), which to a power supply (14) is connected. In particular, is also thought here to use as a power supply (14) which is present as standard AC mains. In the area of the private branch exchange (3) connected ports of the manifold (1) transmission units (17) arranged to coordinate the data transmission between the manifold (1) and the PBX (3). The antenna (8) is connected via a filter (18) to the manifold (1). Between the base stations (10) and one with the antenna (8) connected to the antenna switch (19) is a galvanic isolation of the base stations (10) of the antenna duplexer (19) genteel forming coupler (20). In addition, the base stations (10) of an output stage switch-off (21) are acted upon, which is fed by the supply unit (16). About a terminal (22), the output stage shutdown (21) is directly connected to the antenna duplexer (19). In the area of the antenna switch (19) is a receiving amplifier and a transmitting amplifier is arranged. In addition takes place through the antenna switch (19), a decoupling of the transmission signals.
p0016In the area of a telephone handset (9), a switch is arranged to switch on the handset (9) before the start of a communication and disable again after a completion of the communication. This is a low energy consumption and long replacement cycles for the batteries of the handsets, guaranteed. In an off-state from the handset (9) is only a selection by the associated base station (10).
p0017To establish a communication link at the instigation of a private branch proprietor of the handset on (9) and transmits the dial-up and voice signals to the associated base station (10), the information about the transmission units (17) and the interface (2) PBX (3) supplies. Depending on the participants to be selected, the PBX (3) connects to another handset (9), an extension (7) or a connection to the communication network (5). To redirect an incoming call to a handset (9) consisting of the communication network (5), an extension (7) or a handset of a corresponding base station (9) forwarded incoming call from the PBX (3) to the distributor (1) (10) activated, which forwards the signals to the associated handset (9).
p0018A non-user handset (9) can be stored at any location. In particular, however, it is also possible to support said handset (9) during prolonged use interruptions in the area of the loading station (12). This results in a sufficient state of charge in the range of the handset (9) arranged accumulators is always guaranteed.
