Abstract
Articles which are composite structures comprise a fibrillated polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) matrix containing enmeshed and immobilized therein viable cells capable of their usual and continuous biochemical and biological performances. The viable cells can be animal, bacterial, fungal or yeast.
