Logarithmic light intensifier for use with photoreceptor-based implanted retinal prosthetics and those prosthetics
Abstract
(-- 57) summary -- it is for this invention adjusting the beam of a photon directly on the retina of the patient who has the vision damage to a degree, or vision disappearance very much. The purpose is to supply the prosthetic device of the retina transplanted to the eye which operates by having the light (it is the exterior to an eye) which starts an optical receptor or electrooptic material for sufficient image formation energy fundamentally. This invention offers sufficient optical amplification, and performs it in logarithm. While it has sufficient output light capability, in addition, an output light level is as at a safe level. The most desirable enforcement form of this invention offers 2 balanced phase stimuli without net electric charge pouring to an eye. For example, the picture which uses an optical zoom lens is optical, and electronic formula expansion is taken in. Otherwise, uniting a focus with a matter with the necessity for specific consideration cannot be realized. If there is no suitable adjustment, unsuitable threshold amplitude and the unpleasant maximum threshold will be obtained. Therefore, suitable threshold amplitude and the maximum comfortable threshold are offered for these adjustments. Furthermore, different color consciousness in the case of a stimulus of the individual stimulus position of the retina is given, the color of the seen scene is corrected after that in a specific stimulus position, and a fixed quantity of color vision is offered.
