Stable liquid interferon formulations

Abstract

The present invention relates to a liquid composition comprising an amino acid stabilizing agent having from 0.3 to 5% (w / v) of an amino acid stabilizing agent selected from acidic amino acids, arginine and glycine-derived amino acid residues, wherein the liquid formulation is not prepared from lyophilized interferon, liquid formulation is not subsequently lyophilized. The invention also relates to the preparation of the above compositions. The liquid composition preferably comprises a container having at least one surface coated with an interferon-inert material.
