Method and apparatus for drying a load of moist fibrous material, particularly a load of laundry

Abstract

The present invention relates to a method and a drying installation with a mass of wet fibrous material, in particular a mass of laundry washed and placed in a drying machine or washer-dryer, wherein is passed through the mass of fibrous material, in closed circuit, water vapor superheated to a temperature between 102 ~ and 180 ~ C and substantially at atmospheric pressure. This process is characterized in that it comprises, before the phase of drying with superheated water vapor, a prior phase of the air flush, present in the closed circuit, by means of steam.
