Automatic paper towel dispenser apparatus

A towel dispenser includes a main body; a loading door receiving toweling in floating engagement therewith; a guide system; a motor assembly; and a sensor for sensing a toweling leading edge. The housing includes an opening permitting retracted toweling to fall there through. The guide system includes a first roller attached to the main body and a second roller attached to the loading door. Toothed surfaces of the rollers mesh when the loading door is moved into a closed position. An end of the first roller moves relative to the main body of the housing such that the first roller is displaced by the second roller and toweling, and the first roller is spring biased in its engagement with the second roller when the loading door is closed. Trim tabs of the housing determine a distance from an underside of a fixture below which the dispenser is mounted.
