Variable pulse width encoding for information transmission

Claim Score by NHIP

Read claim 1, the broadest

Abstract

A method is provided for transmitting information incorporated into at least one message packet. The process includes encoding the message packet as a signal, which is afterwards transmitted and analyzed. The encoding operation assigns the message packet to correspond to a specific pulse width. The signal is transmitted across a channel. The analyzing operation parses the signal as corresponding to the specific pulse width, which is then decoded to obtain the message packet.

A method of information transmission, the information incorporated into at least the message packet composed of first and second codewords, the method comprising:encoding the message packet corresponding to first and second specific binary patterns in accordance with a codebook that relates the first codeword to said first specific binary pattern and the second codeword to said second specific binary pattern;transmitting a signal having said first and second specific binary patterns across a channel;analyzing said signal as corresponding to said first and second specific binary patterns;and decoding said first and second specific binary patterns to obtain the message packet, wherein said first and second specific binary patterns are distinguishable from each other.
