Abstract

Disclosed are core-shell resin particles (C2) each comprising one or more film-like shell layers (P) comprising a resin (a) which is a polyurethane resin and a core layer (Q) comprising a resin (b). A core-shell resin particle (C2) is characterized in that the weight ratio between (P) and (Q) is from 0.1:99.9 to 70:30, the volatile content in the resin particle (C2) is not more than 2 weight %, and the content of vinyl resins in the resin (b) is not more than 30 weight %. Such resin particles have a uniform particle diameter and are excellent in electrostatic properties, thermal and storage stability and thermal characteristics.

    Resin particles obtained by removing a water-based solvent from a water-based dispersion (X2) of resin particles (C21) obtained by forming a shell layer (P) in the form of a film made of resin particles (A) on the surface of a core layer (Q) containing resin particles (B) by dissolving the resin particles (A) adhering to the resin particles (B) in the solvent and/or melting the resin particles (A) adhering to the resin particles (B) in a water-based dispersion (X1) of resin particles (C1) comprising the resin particles (B) bearing the resin particles (A) on the surface thereof and obtained by dispersing a resin (b) or its solvent solution, alternatively a precursor (b0) of the resin (b) or its solvent solution, further causing a reaction of the precursor (b0) in the case of using the precursor (b0) or its solvent solution, in a water-based dispersion (W) of the resin particles (A) comprising a resin (a) containing a polyurethane; and thereby forming the resin particles (B) comprising the resin (b) in the water-based dispersion (W), wherein said polyurethane is an addition polymerized product of a polyisocyanate, a diol and a polyester polyol, or an amino-containing polyurethane which is a product of reacting the terminal isocyanate groups of the prepolymers of a polyisocyanate, a diol and a polyester polyol with primary and/or secondary monoamines, wherein the resin (b) consists of polyester resins which are condensation polymers of 1,2-propylene glycol with polycarboxylic acids, their anhydrides, or their lower alkyl esters, or metal salts of these condensation polymers, and wherein a point (K, H) is within an area surrounded by a rectangle defined by the following four points A, B, C, and D including the side lines in a system of K, H coordinates wherein K denotes sp value difference (Asp) of the resin (a) and the resin (b) and H denotes the natural logarithm of the weight average molecular weight [In (Mw)] of the resin (a):A (0.3, In 3000), B (1.5, In 1000), C (1.3, In 200000), and D (0.1, In 200000).

    Resin particles obtained by removing a water-based solvent from a water based resin dispersion (X2) of resin particles (C21) obtained by forming a shell layer (P) in the form of a film made of resin particles (A) on the surface of a core layer (Q) containing resin particles (B) by dissolving the resin particles (A) adhering to the resin particles (B) in the solvent and/or melting the resin particles (A) adhering to the resin particles (B) in a water-based dispersion (X1) of resin particles (C1) comprising the resin particles (B) bearing the resin particles (A) on the surface thereof and obtained by dispersing a resin (b) or its solvent solution, alternatively a precursor (b0) of the resin (b) or its solvent solution, further causing a reaction of the precursor (b0) in the case of using the precursor (b0) or its solvent solution, in a water-based dispersion (W) of the resin particles (A) comprising a resin (a) containing a polyurethane;and thereby forming the resin particles (B) comprising the resin (b) in the water-based dispersion (W), wherein the resin (a) is a resin having an initial softening temperature of 40 to 270° C., a glass transition temperature of 20 to 250° C., a flow temperature of 60 to 300° C., and the difference of the glass transition temperature and flow temperature in a range from 0 to 120° C., wherein the initial softening temperature and the flow temperature are measured in the flow chart in the flow tester measurement conditions of load of 30 kg/cm 2 , heating speed of 3.0° C./min, die diameter of 0.50 mm and die length of 10.0 mm, wherein said polyurethane is an addition polymerized product of a polyisocyanate, a diol and a polyester polyol, or an amino-containing polyurethane which is a product of reacting the terminal isocyanate groups of the prepolymers of a polyisocyanate, a diol and a polyester polyol with primary and/or secondary monoamines, and wherein the resin (b) consists of polyester resins which are condensation polymers of 1,2-propylene glycol with polycarboxylic acids, their anhydrides, or their lower alkyl esters, or metal salts of these condensation polymers.

    Resin particles obtained by removing a water-based solvent from a water based resin dispersion (X2) of resin particles (C21) obtained by forming a shell layer (P) in the form of a film made of resin particles (A) on the surface of a core layer (Q) containing resin particles (B) by obtaining a water-based dispersion (X1) of resin particles (C1) comprising the resin particles (B) bearing the resin particles (A) on the surface thereof by dispersing a resin (b) or its solvent solution, alternatively a precursor (b0) of the resin (b) or its solvent solution, further causing a reaction of the precursor (b0) in the case of using the precursor (b0) or its solvent solution, in a water-based dispersion of the resin particles (A) comprising a resin (a) containing a polyurethane;and thereby forming the resin particles (B) comprising the resin (b) in the water-based dispersion of the resin particles (A) and then dissolving the resin particles (A) adhering to the resin particles (B) in the solvent and/or melting the resin particles (A) adhering to the resin particles (B) in the water-based dispersion (X1), wherein said polyurethane is an addition polymerized product of a polyisocyanate, a diol and a polyester polyol, or an amino-containing polyurethane which is a product of reacting the terminal isocyanate groups of the prepolymers of a polyisocyanate, a diol and a polyester polyol with primary and/or secondary monoamines, and wherein the resin (b) consists of polyester resins which are condensation polymers of 1,2-propylene glycol with polycarboxylic acids, their anhydrides, or their lower alkyl esters, or metal salts of these condensation polymers.
