    In an integral metallic chimney, back I for roofs, the combination with the chimney To all whom it may concern:Be it known that I, James A. Porter, a citizen of the United States, residing at Crawfordsville, in the county of Montgomery 5 and State of Indiana, have invented certain new and useful Improvements in ChimneyBacks, of which'the following is a specification. . My invention relates more particularly to io improvements in integral, metallic chimney backs for roofs and to. this end my invention consists in the peculiar form, combination and arrangement of the integral parts as will be more fully set forth hereinafter. 15 A further objective sought and attained m my invention is the production of an integral, metallic chimney back for roofs which effectually prevents rain and snow from entering between the chimney and the roof and 20 which causes debris, dirt, snow etc, to gravitate away from it and away from the chimney. This attainment avoids the usual accumulation of debris, dirt, snow etc, over the chimney back and between the chimney and 25 the roof which ordinarily hastens the corrosion and destruction of the metallic back. My main objective is to produce an efficient, durable and profitable article of manufacture of integral sheet metal of any suitable 30 nature, for instance such as tin, zinc, copper etc, of more economy in cost and service than has been done heretofore. . In the construction of my invention an integral sheet metal strip of any suitable mate45 rial is bent into such form as fully attains my object. A represents a chimney of common form and use.
