Projection system

Summary by NHIP

Keystone Correction Projector

The system senses screen height and width to automatically determine an aspect ratio and apply a transformation that adjusts projected image keystone. The predetermined set of selectable aspect ratios includes 1:1, 4:3, and 16:9, while boundary color sensing also triggers image modification.

Abstract

An image projector that modifies projected images. An imaging device preferably senses information about a projection screen upon which an image is projected. Based on the sensed information about the projection screen, the projector modifies the image in a desired manner, such as rescaling, or correcting distortion in, the projected image.
