Method and apparatus for terminating electrical ribbon cable

A new termination, with which a miniature ribbon cable can be connected readily to other electrical devices, has adjacent cable conductors connected without fan-out to a connector plate having contacts on opposite sides of a board-like insulator. The cable insulation is removed from the conductors, prior to assembly ofthe cable with the connector plate, preferably along the entire conductor length that overlies the insulator.
