Tie and dressing cabinet

[57] ABSTRACT

A cabinet for the storage of neckties and other apparel, the cabinet comprising a case including an upper compartment containing adjustable shelves for supporting various items, the compartment being lighted by an electric lamp, and a lower compartment containing a forwardly slidable tie rack, a garment hanger bar and a space for the placement of various objects such as a hat, shoes and a cane.

It is to be noted that each sleeve 28 includes a central opening 29 therethrough, the opening 29 communicating with a slot 30 along the underside thereof and through which the rack protrudes, as is shown in FIG. 2 ofthe drawing. The rack includes a front bar 31 along which the neckties are draped

A garment hanger bar 32 is secured within the compartment 17, the bar being supported at its opposite ends within the side walls 14. Novel garment hangers 33 having sidewardly extending frames are carried upon the bar 32 and provide means for supporting various garments therefrom.

Upon the bottom of the compartment 17, various items such as a hat 33, shoes 34 or a cane 35 may be placed.

A door 36 is secured to a front side ofthe compartment by means of a hinge 37 along one side of the door, the front side of the door having a mirror 38. As shown in FIG. 1 of the drawing, it is to be noted that the door 36 serves to enclose only the upper compartment 16 ofthe case.

In operative use, it will be readily evident that a person may conveniently store in the cabinet all various items of clothing and accessories used for dressing up. Thus upon arising a person may quickly obtain all his items of wear from a singular case. ⁶

While various changes may be made in the detailed construction, it is understood that such changes will be within the spirit and scope of the present invention as is defined in the appended claims.
