Advertising or display case

To all whom it may concern:

. Be it known that I, Simon J. Summer, a citizen or the United States, residing at providence, in the county of Providence and 5 State of Rhode Island, have invented certain. new and useful Improvements in Advertising or Display Cases, of which the following is a specification.

My invention relates to advertising or dis10 play cigarette cases and its essential objects are to enable the mounting of a photograph or other display card in the body thereof in such a manner as to be visible upon the exterior of the case; and to effect this end by a 15 simple, secure, and inexpensive means.

. To the above ends my invention consists m such parts and in such combinations of parts as fall within the scope of the appended claims.

In the drawings 5 and 6 represent the two sections of the case, constituting, in this instance the body and cover respectively. Both these members are transversely curved, and are provided respectively xvith perinh35 eral inwardly directed flanged portions 7 and 8. of curved cross section. A pintle 9 and hinges 11 of usual construction connect the wings at adjacent edges of their flanged portions. The member 5 is provided xvith the usual catch loop 13 integral xvith the thumb piece 14 passing through a slot 16 and integral xvith the spring 17 fastened by a rivet 18.to the flanged portion 7. A display opening 20 is. formed in the center of 45 the member 6 having a contour similar to that of periphery of the latter. The card is held in position by means 01 a resilient transversely curved retaining plate comprising a body portion 26 and an inclined peripheral flange 27.
