  1. 1
I claim:1. In a supporting bracket, the combination, of an arm, a supporting head, a stem 70 connected to said head and rotatably connected to said arm for rotation about an axis transverse to the plane of said head, said supporting head comprising a plurality of rigidly connected radiating arms having 75 flat article engaging surfaces, said stem projecting a short distance beyond the flat surfaces of said arm to facilitate centering of a board upon said head. .
  2. 2
In a supporting bracket, the combina- 80 tion, of an arm, a. supporting head, a stem, connected to said head and rotatably connected to said arm for rotation about an axis transverse to the plane:of said- head, said supporting head, comprising a plural- 85 ity of rigidly connected radiating arms having flat article engaging surfaces, said:stem projecting a short distance beyond the. flat surfaces of said. arm. to facilitate , centering. . of a board upon said head, means for hold- 90 ing said stem against rotation with respect to said arm,, a clamp structure, and an. articulated connection, between the arm and clamp structure.
  3. 3
In a supporting bracket, a clamp struc- 95 ture. comprising a pair of jaws having a portion of their facing surfaces cut-away and provided with centrally disposed longitudinally and transversely extending substantially semi-cylindrical cut-out portions, 100means for holding said jaws in clamping engagement with the support, said jaws, provided with recesses, in corresponding ends, an arm seated in said recesses and adjustably connected to said jaws, an article sup- 105 porting head, and an articulated connection between said head and said arm.
  4. 4
In a supporting bracket, a clamp structure comprising a pair of jaws, means for holding said jaws, in clamping engagement 110 with a support, said j aws provided with recesses in corresponding erids, an arm seated in said recesses and provided with openings extending therethrough in angularly disposed sets, pins adapted to extend 115 through any set of said openings to adjustably connect said arm to said jaws, an article supporting head and an articulated connection between said head and arm.
  5. 5
In a supporting bracket,, a clamp struc- 120 ture. comprising a pair of jaws, means for holding said jaws in clamping engagement with a support, said jaws.provided with-recesses in corresponding ends, an arm sealed in said recesses and adjustably and pivot- 125 ally connected to said jaws, said recesses slightly deeper than the diameter of said arm to permit limited pivotal movement of the arm with respect to the jaws, said arm adapted to engage the inner ends of the re- 130 1,320,439 cesses to limit the pivotal movement of the arm, an article supporting head, and an articulated connection between said head and arm. 5
  6. 6
In a supporting bracket, a clamp structure, a supporting head including a stem, an articulated connection between said clamp and supporting head comprising an arm provided with a longitudinal recess to 10 receive said stem, said arm being split for the depth of said recess, a wear plate carried by the split end of said arm, a ring encircling said split end, and a set screw carried by said ring for forcing'the split por15 tion of the arm into binding engagement with said stem.
  7. 7
In a supporting bracket, a clamp struc ture comprising a pair of jaws, means for holding said jaws in clamping engagement with a support, said jaws provided with re- 20 cess in corresponding ends, an arm seated in said recesses and adjustably connected to said jaws, an article supporting head, an articulated connection between said head and aims comprising an arm provided with. & 25 longitudinal recess to receive said stem, said arm being split for the depth of said recess, a wear plate carried by the split end of said arm, a ring encircling said split end, a set screw carried by said ring for forcing 30 the split portion of the arm into binding engagement with said stem.
