IMPROVEMENT IN CASTERS AND SPOON-HOLDERS COMBINED.

To all whom it may concern:

Be it known that I, Louis Evans, of Pittsburg, in the count} of Allegheny and State of Pennsylvania, have invented a new and improved Combined Caster and Spoon-Holder; and I do hereby declare tbe following to be a full, clear, and exact description of the same, reference being had to the accompanying drawing making apart of this specification, in which—

Figure 2 is a side elevation. -

-I’his invention relates to a caster of that class in which there are radial revolving arms, which bear the rings that hold tbe bottles or cruets; and

The invention consists in the adaptation of such radial arms to the purpose of holding spoons or forks.

Referring to the drawing— « is the stand ;

δ, the handle at the top of the same;

c, the collar placed between a shoulder on the stand and the handle b;

&lt;1, tlie arms projecting radially from the collar; and e, the rings that,sustain the bottles.

The arms d are each slotted centrally throughout their entire length/as shown at f and in said arms at each side of the slot notches, Λ., are made in pail’s, the .notches of each pair being directly opposite each other, and tbe number of pairs of notches in each arm depending upon its length.

lhese notches serve to hold the handles of spoons or forks, when dropped’ into them, crosswise of. the slot, the forks hanging vertically in the notches, witli their prongs down.

The notches may be made of different sizes, so as to accommodate tea, table, or dessert-spoons or forks, the different varieties of which may be distributed each in a separate arm of the caster.

I am aware that a spoon or fork-holder, constructed with a ring, from which prongs project for supporting the spoons or forks, is no new thing; but, so far as I am aware, a spoon-holder constructed like mine is anovelty.
