Electrical connector
The present invention relates to an electrical connector, and more particularly to an electrical connector for electrically connecting a chip module to a circuit board.
An electrical connector disclosed in the Chinese Patent Application Publication No. CN201112663Y, which is used to electrically connect a chip module to a printed circuit board. The electrical connector includes an insulative housing and a plurality of conductive terminals assembled in the insulative housing. The insulative housing is substantially flat and includes an upper surface of the wafer module and a lower surface of the printed circuit board. The conductive terminal is received in the receiving groove provided in the insulating body, and includes an elastic portion having a contact portion at the end, and the elastic portion protrudes the upper surface of the insulating body. The insulative body is divided into four regions that are substantially equal to the shape of the field, and the elastic portions of the conductive terminals in the two adjacent regions are arranged in opposite directions. The electrical connector of the prior art has a plurality of terminal areas, but is used to jointly connect a chip module, and the computing performance of the entire system needs to be improved.
Therefore, it is necessary to improve the aforementioned electrical connector to overcome the drawbacks of the prior art.
In view of the above, the purpose of the present invention is to provide an electrical connector that can simultaneously connect a plurality of wafer modules.
The electrical connector of the present invention is realized by the following technical solutions: an electrical connector comprising an insulating body provided with a plurality of terminal holes and a plurality of conductive terminals received in the terminal holes, wherein the conductive terminals are divided into a plurality of terminal regions Each terminal region has a positioning block around it to position the wafer module.
Compared with the prior art, the electrical connector of the present invention can be equipped with a plurality of chip modules by dividing the conductive terminals into a plurality of terminal regions and positioning blocks around each of the terminal regions, thereby improving the system. Operational efficiency.
The first and second figures are a preferred embodiment of the inventive electrical connector. In this embodiment, the electrical connector is configured to electrically connect a plurality of chip modules (not shown) to a circuit board (not shown), and includes an insulative housing 1 and a plurality of conductive terminals assembled in the insulative housing 1 2.
The insulative housing 1 is an integrally formed flat plate structure having a plurality of terminal holes 10 extending through the upper and lower surfaces of the insulative housing 1 for receiving the plurality of conductive terminals 2. One end of the conductive terminal 2 is connected to a chip module, and the other end is connected to the circuit board.
The insulating body 1 is divided into a plurality of terminal regions, and the conductive terminals 2 in each terminal region are divided into two groups, each of the conductive terminals 2 are arranged in an array in the same direction, and two sets of conductive terminals 2 in the same region are Opposite alignment. Each of the terminal regions is provided with positioning posts 11 , 13 , 14 integrally formed with the insulative housing 1 in the vicinity of the four corners to receive the wafer module, so that the insulative housing 1 can carry a plurality of wafer modules. The number of the positioning blocks 111 included in the positioning posts 11, 13, 14 is the same as the number of the conductive areas around the positioning posts 11, 13, 14. The positioning post 14 disposed at the corner of the entire insulative housing 1 has a positioning block 111. The positioning post 13 disposed at the peripheral edge has two positioning blocks 111, and the positioning post 11 disposed inside has four positioning blocks 111. The positioning block 111 has a configuration of a substantially quarter cylinder. The adjacent four positioning blocks 111 have a slot 114 therebetween, which can provide a space for the positioning block 111 to move, so that the positioning block 111 has a certain degree of elasticity. The positioning block 111 has an inclined guiding surface 113 on the upper side, and a protruding latch 112 is disposed under the guiding surface 113 for holding the upper surface of the wafer module to lock the wafer module.
A positioning portion 12 is defined on each of the opposite sides of the insulative housing 1. Each positioning portion 12 is provided with a positioning hole 121. A plurality of ribs 1211 uniformly distributed around the periphery are formed around the positioning hole 121. The positioning hole 121 can position the insulative housing 1 to the printed circuit board by mating with a positioning pin (not shown).
When the chip module is mounted to the insulative housing 1, the wafer module is positioned above a certain terminal area, and the wafer module is pressed down to be locked under the latch 112.
The above is the preferred factual method of the creation. However, the protection scope of the creation is not limited thereto, such as the number of terminal areas, the number of positioning blocks around each terminal area, and the number of groups of conductive terminals in each terminal area. Make flexible changes.
In summary, this creation is in line with the new patent requirements, and the patent application is filed according to law. However, the above description is only a preferred embodiment of the present invention, and the scope of the present invention is not limited to the above embodiments, and those who are familiar with the skill of the present invention are equivalent to the equivalent modifications or changes made by the spirit of the present creation. It should be covered by the following patent application.
