Area of use
The present invention relates to a dispensing device for a container, such as, for example, a silo or the like. More particularly, the invention relates to a device for dispensing bulk material such as bark, sludge, vegetables, powder and others. Such materials have a tendency to compact and cause bridging, especially when the moisture content is high, where problems can occur when discharging from the container.
Background
There are various types of dispensing devices for materials stored in large containers, which devices can be rotors, sliding frames, bar feeds, etc. transport of the material. The idea is that the material itself will collapse as material is discharged from there, but this is sometimes not the case. Various materials have the ability to log, bridge, above the dispensing device and along the silo walls, whereby less and less amount of material is discharged.
DE 36 07 786 discloses a discharge device for a silo or similar container of circular cross-section. The device comprises an arm mounted on a hub, to which a driving device is connected for rotation of the hub and arm. At the bottom of the silo a circular discharge opening is arranged in its center. The arm is designed with a bend to force the material in the silo towards the center and out through the discharge opening.
The feature of the invention according to the document is that the arm is arranged with a plurality of inserts at a small distance to the bottom of the silo to unlock the material which has a tendency to compact.

<td></td><td>Figure 1 shows examples of some known container feeding devices radial discharge opening. These are arranged rotatably on a central shaft and with a plurality of arms to casing the material so that it falls into a radially open housing.</td>
<td> 5</td><td>with feed screws to remove the material from the space. These are known devices are either provided with resilient arms, type 1 (hydraulic rotor) and 3 (spring rotor), hydraulic and elastic respectively, or with fixed arms; type 2 (sliding star).</td>
<td> 10</td><td>A major problem with these types of known dispensers (Figure 1) is that the feeding direction from the arms is directed towards the walls of the container and forward, but</td>
<td> 15</td><td>not inward and forward. This is especially true for the feeding devices with resilient or pivotal arms, which in heavy material resistance bend backwards in rotation. This means that both a certain amount of material in the container's periphery becomes untouched and that the material that is moved after all is pushed out towards the container. untouched material and a compaction (ring formation) of the material takes place. Thus, not as much material as desired is dispensed through the dispensing opening and the efficiency of the device decreases.</td>
<td> 20</td><td>A gradual vertical gasket may also occur above the dispensing device, with a vault of packed material eventually forming and the dispensing device idling (see Figure 2).</td>
<td> * · ·.·· 25 • •</td><td>The known dispensing devices above have a tendency to only force in the lower layers of the material, but they do not create a collapse of the material against the exterior. the feed opening. This is a major problem when storing gasket prone material. In addition, many containers are of considerable volume, which is why some exterior the operation of the container for shaking down material is also not possible.</td>
<td> 30</td><td>One disadvantage of the fixed-arm solution, in addition to the feeding direction, is that the arms in certain positions cover large portions of the discharge opening, which is detrimental to the continuity of supply of material down the opening. Thus, this also adversely affects the efficiency of the device.</td>

<td></td><td>short description</td>
<td> 5</td><td>The present invention intends to solve the disadvantages of the known devices by the arms being curved or made up of straight sections forming angles to each other, which, when using the device, causes the material to move substantially inwards and forwards.</td>
<td> 10</td><td>When using a dispensing device according to the invention, there is a significantly lower risk of packing tendencies of the material than with previously known devices. Greater dispensing efficiency is obtained by extending the arms of the device to the periphery and affecting the entire horizontal surface of the container,</td>
<td> 15</td><td>out to its inner walls. In addition, the arms do not completely cover the dispensing opening at any one time, with an uninterrupted dispensing of the material. By using this output device, uniform output is obtained. capacity regardless of the filling capacity of the container.</td>
<td> 20</td><td>A frame arranged to the arms prevents further tendencies to pack while stiffening the arms and the constituents of the device. can be made slimmer than without a frame. The stiffening also prevents lifting of the arms upwards from the bottom of the container.</td>
<td> • · · —25 • • • •</td><td>The most important thing about the invention, however, is the curved shape of the arms and the function it provides for precisely dispensing in silos and similar spaces. The purpose of the curved arms of the invention is to prevent material from being brought out against the wall. The curved arm in DE 36 07 786, on the other hand, aims to force the material towards a center opening of a container.</td>

Detailed description of the embodiments of the invention
Figure 3 shows a feeding device according to the invention. This includes a central hub 1 which is rotatably mounted on a shaft mounted to the bottom of a support holder 6 (not shown in the figure) and with suitable drive. Conveniently, the container 6 has a circular cross section, but other forms of the container 6 where the invention fulfills the function may also be envisaged.
The device is connected to a suitable drive means, the device being able to rotate or obtain a reciprocating motion (see Figure 4). By means of the hub 1, a number of arms 3 are driven which in turn feed the material towards the dispensing opening (s) 5 of the container.
A plurality of arms 3 extend substantially to the inner wall of the container 6. Each arm is formed with at least one outer section (Fig. 5) formed and arranged in position to move the material substantially inward towards the center of rotation of the device, and at least one inner section, adjacent to the outer section, formed and arranged to guide in use. material mainly in the direction of movement of the device.
Each arm's sections may be straight and form an angle with each other. Each section can be divided into additional sections, where the individual sections are straight but together form a "curved" section.
In one embodiment of the invention, each arm (3) is continuously curved and arranged to move the material substantially in the normal direction at each point on the arm's extension.
The design of the arms means that the feeding direction is mainly inward / forward.
This prevents the material from moving towards the walls of the container 6. A further advantage is that the arms are gradually passed over the discharge opening (s) 5, thereby preventing an opening to be completely covered by an arm.
The number of arms can be varied depending on the type of material to be ejected and can be even or uneven (Figure 7). With multiple arms, an increased feeding capacity is obtained and partly the load distribution is more evenly distributed than with only one arm.
In the embodiment shown, the discharge opening (s) is radial and extends from the inner wall of the container substantially towards its midpoint, but can be formed.
524 932 and placed in a variety of other ways depending on how the post-processing takes place; asymmetrically above the bottom, at an angle to each other, in pairs etc.
A further detail is a frame 2 adjacent to the outer ends of the arms 3. Ra5 but 2 may be affixed to the arms 3 or to the container 6 (Figure 9). This frame 2, together with the arms 3, during its movement, prevents material from being unpacked against the inner wall of the container 6. In addition, frame 2 stiffens the dispensing device and reduces the risk of shear and bending failure therein. The stiffening also prevents lifting of the arms from the bottom of the container 6.
When a material stored in a container (silo) 6 is to be emptied, the hub 1 drives the arms 3 around the bottom of the silo, thus affecting the above stored material in the silo. The curved arms 3 for material move in the inward / forward direction and the material is thus conveyed to the discharge openings 5 and fed there by means of feeding screws or the like to a truck flap or the like for dosing or loading. The void then created above the dispensing device enables the abovementioned material to collapse down to the dispensing device. This is a continuous process, which is why materials are constantly being discharged from the silo.
The curvature of the arms provides an active processing of the material and thus a more efficient output. The curved arms 3 cause the material to move forwards / inwards towards the discharge opening 5, which prevents material from being packed along the wall of the container 6 and thus creating vaulting, which reduces the amount of discharged material. Also, due to the curvature of the arms, the discharge opening 5 is not completely covered at any point, thus material can always fall down somewhere in the discharge opening 5 and from there onwards.
One or more hydraulic pistons 4 actuate the arms 3 of the delivery device in cases where the delivery device moves with a reciprocating movement around the hub (Figures 4, 5).
The frame 2 is circular in the illustrated embodiment, but can also be made with other geometric shapes, for example, star-shaped or polygonal (Figure 8).
524 932
The arms 3 can be formed with a rear wedge-shaped cross-section to slide, especially in a reciprocating drive, in one direction of movement under the material and in the other push a certain amount of material in front of it.
The arms 3 can be formed with a certain reinforcement 7 towards the frame 2 to further increase the strength of the dispensing device.
Vault switches can be provided on the frame or arms to further prevent vault formation.
The embodiments shown in the figures and set forth in the specification are not to be construed as limiting but merely exemplary.
